Video clip in layer in rolling credits not playing -- only shows a still image

Sorry for the late reply @Jessica26445161p2gi and thank you for the additional information provided. Are these the clips you are using and are they loopable? If so, you could loop the clips themselves in a separate sequence for the length of the full credits, export, and add that 'looped' file back in to keep them moving throughout: 

• So for example, if the fairy doll is 5 seconds long but your credits are 15 seconds long, make a sequence where the fairy doll clip repeats three times, export, and bring that 15 second clip back into the roll).

You could also try to add the video clips to your timeline over the credits (instead of into the graphic layer) and keyframe their position to match, though this might be a more time consuming process.

I am curious if there are any updates on this. I am releasing the film on Monday and can't get the credits to work properly. Thanks!

Hi Dani,

I am using MacBook Air with Apple M2 chip, 8GB Memory with macOS Sequoia 15.5. 

I have tried using .mov and .mp4 different sizes and resolutions, all of which play when I drop them in the timeline, but do not play within rolling credits. They are a still image when I test it and when I export it out.

I just did some more testing and made new credits. I figured out that the video clips DO play, but if they are further down in the credits, the video stops playing and shows a still image by the time they get to the visible part of the credits. 

So the real question is, how do I get them to play once they appear on the screen and not play when the credits start to roll? 

I've included a link below to a sample video clip that shows the first video clip (a fairy doll) playing until the clip ends, but the second clip (a blue bottle) stops playing right before it is fully on screen. This means all video clips play from the start, versus starting to play when they appear on screen.

What type of video file are you trying to add to your credits (source, format, resolution)? Are you able to import this file separately into your project, and does it play then without issue?

If you export your credits, does the video play in the exported file or does it remain as still as well?
