Voice to text still remains a problem on new m5 macbook

This was reported fixed for 26.2.0, but I think I saw another report of it continuing.

Did you clear cache when you updated? I’d try that, and resetting preferences. And create a new test project to test there. You can just add one clip, right-click in the project panel, and transcribe. You don’t need to create a sequence.

So you notice this happening on the M5 but not the M3? That is very good information for us. I have an M3 and have not been able to reproduce this. I will reach out to the team, and we can start the testing on the M5 to try to reproduce what you are experiencing.

Did you tried to restart and mac? For my own experience, Mac majorly using built-in dictation through System Settings > Keyboard > Dictation. I recently switch to whisper-based AI solutions and it works better for voice to text.

literally, I am getting other languages inside of my english subtitles, example, “my first touch was a three” it came back as “but my first touch was a tres” with an accent and everything…
