Warp Stabiliser Crashes Premiere every time

I have had an issue for the last 2 months.

No matter what I try, whether it’s media cache clearing, turning on/off hardware acceleration, version rollback, driver updates, restarts, new projects, different storage, different footage, NOTHING will make warp stabiliser work again.

I am genuinely concerned I won’t be able to use it again.

I apply it to a clip, it finishes analysing, then premiere freezes up and I cannot do anything except force close it through task manager.

    Hi @Sam_Richardson7236

Thanks for stopping by the Premiere forums and giving us those details about your Warp Stabilizer issue. So this issue happens during/right after the analyzing, then Premiere freezes up. I see you’ve already tried some troubleshooting and it even happens while in new projects.

On the latest issue, what kind of clips were you working with?

May we ask which version and build of Premiere you’re using? You can check by going to Help top menu > About Premiere. I saw the “latest updates” but need to confirm if you mean v26.5.2 or another.

Do you happen to have any plugins installed? You can hold SHIFT and try launching Premiere, then in the popup box have it temporarily disable those and try loading it again that way.

When any freezing or hangs occur, we try to request a Dump file to help see if that sheds any light on what might be happening during the freeze.

    1. Open Task Manager go to the Processes tab, and identify the Premiere process (you can use search to filter for only Premiere)
    2. Launch Premiere, resume work until it reaches that same delayed hang or unresponsive frozen state
    3. Switch back to Task Manager and right click on Premiere then choose > Create dump file
    4. When it's finished, it tells you where it saves the .DMP file.
    5. It'll be large, but it ZIPs down smaller. So right click on the file, and choose Compress to .ZIP file.

I can go ahead and send you our Dropbox upload link where you can upload that file once it’s finished.

Let us know and really hope to help with this!

Have uploaded the dump file.  Really hoping it can shed some light on this because at the moment, I am not able to use any form of stabilisation and it’s causing serious issues for my client work.

@Sam_Richardson7236 Thank you, I received the screen recording and .DMP.

Could you please let us know the answers to the above questions? Pasting below if easier -

    • What kind of clips were you working with?
    • Which version and build of Premiere you’re using? You can check by going to Help top menu > About Premiere. I saw the “latest updates” but need to confirm if you mean v26.5.2 or another.
    • Do you happen to have any plugins installed? You can hold SHIFT and try launching Premiere, then in the popup box have it temporarily disable those and try loading it again that way.

Sorry for all the frustration with this issue, completely understand.
    Appreciate it!
    Katie
