when I apply a graphic template "slam down title overlay" and other animations, the system no longer can render and locks up

I have tried numerous graphic templates. Slam Down Title Overlay, New Modern Crumble Logo. When i put them in my timeline and make adjustments and then go to render no progress is made and Premiere freezes. I am able to force quit. When I tried to reopen the file and re-render it does the same. When I cleared cache and preferences I was able to delete the graphic template and then everything runs smoothly.
