(then i used syncalia to sync something for me, and i imported the XML into premiere and every single clip was offline. not sure if thats premieres fault or syncalia but ive never had an XML come into premiere as offline. this isnt normal)

The next time it happens I’ll send you the screenshot privately. As for your “display only” question, I’ve tried a combination of both with and without it, and still get Premiere 2025 pointing me to the wrong files. this has persisted for a few weeks now. see attached screenshot for what settings i have checkmarked in link media dialogue window

    Hi there @rachelcenter

Welcome back to the Premiere forums! Thanks for including details about your issue, the version of Premiere and your setup. If you’re able to attach screenshot(s) showing the file you’re trying to relink and what options it’s giving you, or even a short clip of what it’s doing, that would be helpful.

What settings do you have toggled on for relinking? See screenshot. You may already have tried, but thought to suggest to take off checkmark on ‘file extension’ to see if that helps before you hit Locate. Some users have reported this helping.

Once you hit Locate, do you have “Display only exact name matches” on or off, by chance?

    Hope to help!
