Why does Content Credentials Creation keep crashing my exports? Why can't I disable it??

premiere 26.5.2 
Content Credential Signing Failure for File F:\myvideo.mp4
Placeholder box not found Export Error Error compiling movie.

I’ve read content credentials are automatically applied when ai is used but none of my content is ai. I’ve unchecked “Apply Content Credentials” but it still tries to apply them and exports fail with above error. Very frustrating. Just started happening.

    we have about 150 stations, most using stand alone storage some using shared media via Nas and its across all versions, just a terrible feature. even with the toggle off they are applied and trying to re-render exports in media encoder now freeze as its trying to verify the content credentials.

    Hi ​@Tom30185849nipf , when you say AME “freezes,” do you mean the application becomes completely unresponsive, or that the export takes longer but eventually completes while Content Credentials are being applied or verified?

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please follow up with ​@Dennis5FDD below. 

    ​@Tom30185849nipf  if you are willing to share the clip(s) Premiere is assuming is AI, I urge you to also reach out and we can supply you with a private upload link so we can examine them internally. 

    If both Rob and Tom could let us know a little more about your systems, we would appreciate it. It’s helpful to have when troubleshooting issues like this, so please let us know the following:

    • Operating System: Specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
    • Chip (Mac Only): Specify which M-series Chip or CPU/GPU combo.
    • GPU and Driver (Windows only): Please let us know your video card and driver version. We recommend updating to the most recent version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio version of the driver.
    • Video Format: If the issue relates to playback or export, please specify the format (and ideally share a sample video).

    If you are on a tight deadline and need to export, a temporary workaround is to remove the affected media from the sequence, or roll back to Premiere 26.3.2 or 26.2.2

    I eventually got it to export without issue by just checking “apply credentials” even though I didn’t supply any. The clips in question were part of this video:

    AMD Ryzen 9 9950X

        I was able to get it to export successfully by just checking the “add credentials” box even though I didn’t add any (the Adobe website wouldn’t let me...even if I logged into LinkedIn, it just didn’t seem to affect the credentials page).

        I have the same thing, once again a useless addition that breaks workflows that no one asked for

            we have about 150 stations most using external single storage, others using shared via NAS or Pixit system, its across the board and clearly a ‘feature’ in the app, causes media encoder to freeze when making re-renders due to it verifying the content credentials.
