xport audio glitchy + doesn't match preview — voice missing, music too loud in some parts

Hey guys, need some help. I'm editing a podcast in Premiere Pro and running into a weird export issue.

Everything looks and sounds fine in the preview, but after I export, the intro comes out glitchy. Sometimes the voice just doesn't come through properly, and the background music becomes way too loud like it wasn't mixed that way at all. This has happened 3 times now on different exports.

Tried clearing my media cache and rendering audio before export, but still facing it. Anyone else dealt with this? Would really appreciate any pointers.

Hi @Angelic_Wonderdf12

Welcome to the Premiere forums. Thank you for reporting this occurrence. For the team to try to better assist you, we’ll need more information:

  • What is the exact Premiere version you’re using?
  • Please specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
    • GPU Driver (Windows only): Please let us know your video card driver version. We recommend updating to the most recent version; for NVIDIA users, we strongly recommend the Studio version of the driver.
  • Are the glitches occurring with all export codecs, or only specific export settings?
  • Where is the export location/being stored?

For additional context:

  • Does it affect all projects or only some?
  • Does it affect new, empty projects?
  • When did the problem first begin?
    • Was anything recently updated in your system?
  • Did it ever work as expected on your system?

Suggestions:

  • Try to transcoding the final mix file (same specs), then import into Premiere.
    • Perhaps there is metadata baked into the final mix files that is causing issues.
  • If possible, try to export locally (to the desktop), to test against exporting to an external drive. Does that garner different results?
  • Try logging completely out of Creative Cloud, and log bag in.
    • A credential re-authentication might be helpful.

Sorry for the frustration. I hope we can help you soon.

Best,

Jonathan

When having audio export problems in the past I ended up exporting just the audio as a wav file and bringing that export back into the video sequence, using that new audio instead of the original mix.
