While what you say about mogrt is true, it doesn't fit my workflow. My projects are heavily based on transcription with a large number of clips, so using mogrt would negatively impact performance and efficiency.

I believe text styles are supposed to include position data, so I'm reporting this as a bug to Adobe and hoping for a fix.
