Objects/Standard models disappear when placing images

This is the first time this has ever happened but usually, when I go to place images onto an object, the images is placed onto the object no problem. However, when I'm trying to drag the image from my files onto the object, the object disappears and the image also isn't visible.

Please watch the attached video for more context as I feel that is a bad explanation.

I have already uninstalled and re-installed the program.

Thanks in advance,

Liam.

Update:

I have just re-opened the file 3 months later (in that time it looks like there was a software update) and, by chance, I am now able to place logo's/graphics/images on the object.

Thanks for all your help!

I also couldn't reproduce the bug. Your problem insterested me because I use Stager for exactly this kind of project, creating show booth mockups, and I've run into my share of unexplained behaviors, with decals appearing in odd places or not showing up at all. I've never had an object disappear, though.

All of your big surfaces are created by duplicating the floor ("Rug"), so all of the materials are linked. Try unlinking them (middle icon in the screenshot) and see whether that makes a difference. I'm thinking there may be some odd interaction that happens only in your system, since none of us can replicate the problem. Do get that log to Cyril, though.

One other question I have is how you created those planes. They seem to have strange Scale vs. Size ratios compared with what I would expect to see if you had started from a parametric cube, as you did with the pipes. That may be irrelevant to this situation. I'm just curious.

I have some idea. Try to export your model as 3D file (obj, gltf etc) and import back into stager. Then test it again.

Unfortunately, the log you shared is empty. Can you make sure you ran a session before sending me the log?

It's always worth trying to rollback Stager to a previous version. As long as you have the Creative Cloud version of Stager, here is the option to rollback:

I also advise you to make sure your GPU driver is updated.

Hi,

Ok - so it is working for you so, it must be something wrong with my preferences, do you think? Shall I install an older version? What shall I do to fit it? 😞

Thanks again for you continued support!

I also can't reproduce your artifact. May the reason is in image... but as I can see at video your image is PNG and I also use png file.

Hi,

The issue isn't EXACTLY the same when in Ray-Tracing mode - ie. the object (in this case the "wall" of the stand) doesn't dissapaear however, the graphic/image still doesn't show.

The attached screenshot shows what happens whilst in R-T mode.

Please find the log file link below:

Thanks again,

Liam.

Hi @GBP_LiamG,

I've tried on my side, but wasn't able to reproduce the issue (which is bothering). Ares, let us know if it's different for you.

@GBP_LiamG do you see any difference when turning the Ray-Tracing on? Also, can we have access to your log (Help > Get logs)?

Best regards,

Is it possible to share file via any cloud to test as it difficult to say what cause such an artifact?
