Stager eventually becomes unresponsive

I've encountered this issues multiple times on different files. And the process always seems to be the same.

As I'm working on the Stager file, it slowly becomes slower and slower. And then eventually it's completely unresponsive. And the thing is that my system isn't doing anything. Neither the GPU (RTX 2080 Max Q) or  the CPU are working at all. But when I start another application, then they both kick in.

I've tried restarting, shutting down, reinstalling Stager and clearing any cache files from other Adobe apps.

Also, after I quit out of Stager and relaunch it, I get an error that it shut down unexpectedly. This happens everytime.

I've been using Stager for about 3 months. And it seems to have a number of issues despite the updated roll outs. As a long-time Keyshot user as well, I've never come across performance issues like this before.
