Build 37

Hi Matt, audio hardware is always set to System Default - No Input.

@Ann Bens    Matt from the audio team here, can you set "Preferences>Audio Hardware>Default Input..." to "No Input" and see if it helps playback?

To be able to continue editing I opened the project in 23.2, did some editing and saved.

Opened project in 23.4 and to my surprise it runs a lot better, not perfect though.

CTI still runs in chuncks but there is no frame drop.

The clip I sent you runs flawless in its own sequence.

Hmm.. so far I'm not able to reproduce the issue with the clip you sent me. If you play just the clip in the Source Monitor with High Quality Playback disabled (and video renderer set to CUDA) does the issue improve at all? 

Windows 11/Asus ROG/i7-7820X/ssd's/64 Gb/Asus GTX1070Ti 8gig (531.41 studio driver).

Thanks for the quick reply. Would it be possible to post a sample file the repros the bad playback? I'm not seeing this so far on my end so I wonder if there is something specific about files from Topaz AI. And just to be a little more specific, you did not see this is previous 23.4 Beta builds but are seeing it now in x37? 

I appreciate your feedback re: autosave. I'll relay it to the appropriate team. 

Lately I have only been using Prores 422 HQ 1280x720 50 fps generated by Topaz Ai.

When pressing play, it takes a few moments to get the CTI rolling.

CTI moves along in chunks. So does the playhead counter display. Does not roll out in single frames.

The same goes for pressing play to stop the CTI, takes a few moments.

It's not snappy, did not see this behavior in previous builds.

Also, this Auto save is a big pain in the butt.

When active, its stop me doing from anything. Program look like it's frozen.

Once in a while I get a pop-up saying it auto saving, most of the time It does not.

Hi Ann, can you please elaborate? Is this a new issue starting in build 37? What flavor of ProRes file are you playing?
