Copying and pasting footage from Premiere Pro Beta to After Effects doesn't work anymore.

Copying and pasting footage from Premiere Pro Beta to After Effects doesn't work anymore. I've tried using the command c/command keyboard shortcuts, as well as selecting the copy/paste commands via the pull-down menus in both app... neither works. It used to work in earlier beta builds, but the latest build no longer functions properly. The latest non-beta build still will copy and paste footage. Please fix this. Thank you.

I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 Max running OS 13.6.9 using the latest Premier Pro Beta version and the latest non-beta version of After Effects... and Warrens comment about the copy/paste function not working between un-like versions makes sense... because, if I copy/paste footage between the non-beta version of Premier Pro to the non-beta version of AE, it works as expected. I haven't downloaded the beta version of AE... so I can't test that workflow at this time... but I would assume that it works. Thanks to all for the help.

Copy and paste can only be expected to work between like versions.

Try Premiere Pro (Beta) 25.1 to After Effects (Beta) 25.1.

I am experiencing the same issue. First time in PP25 Beta today. AE is 24.6.2 (build 2).

@HoehneDesign @Kevin-Monahan

I am not able to reproduce this issue.

Steps:

1. Assemble 10 still images in Video Track 1 with a music file in Audio Track 1 of Premiere Pro.

2. Select all of the Clips in the Premiere Pro Timeline (In/Out Duration 0:00:57:17).

3. Switch to After Effects.

4. Create a new Comp with a Duration that exceeds the duration of the Clips assembled in Premiere Pro (Duration 0:01:00:00).

5. Paste.

Result: Clips appear stacked in the After Effects Timeline and sequenced as expected and show as Source Footage in the After Effects Project panel.

System info

    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v25.1.0.50;  After Effects (Beta) v25.1.0.44

    OS: macOS v14.4.1, RAM: 32.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10

Something I would double-check is that the Clips are not being pasting outside of the Duration of the Comp.  For example, Clips that start at 8 minutes in Premiere Pro (00:08:00:00) will paste at 8 minutes in After Effects (00:08:00:00).  In this example, I’d make sure that the After Effects Timeline is longer than 8 minutes and then trim it later if needed.  If the Comp duration is less than 8 minutes, the Clips will be seven minutes after the end of the Composition.
