Acrobat Pro Type Distortion When Downloading

This problem only occurs with docs from a certain source. Viewed on line, the doc is OK. But when downloaded, the type is readable but distorted. Screenshots generated the attachments, since the doc is secured (i.e. no editing permitted).

You posted to the Adobe Aero forum, which is a mobile app that has been discontinued instead of the Acrobat forum.

The most likely reason is that you are missing the typeface Merrill Lynch used. What do you see when you look at Properties > Fonts tab?

Is this PDF on their website? If it is, can you provide a link?

You might also try printing the screenshot.

Hi. Thanks for response. 1. Attached are screen shots for the Properties>Fonts tab for the on-line version. 2. No, the PDF is not on their public website. It is in my account info. 3. If I print the screenshot, the text is still distorted. Ed

I meant print the screenshot, not the PDF.

It looks like they are using Type1 PostScript fonts from 1984. Adobe ended support three years ago in 2023.
