Adobe Audition 2026 - Regardless of mic all recordings have a crackle to them.

I have a R0DE NT-USB mic and a R0DE N1A mic, and it doesn’t matter which I use; the audio has this crackle over it. To debug, I made a voice memo with the same mics, and the memo is clear as day. So whatever it is inside Audition. It used to be that if I had two mics connected, I had to remove one. But my webcam with mic was removed, and it still has static.
I have provided a clip of the audio it records. The only thing that had changed recently is that I had to pack up my computer and bring it into the office.
Any assistance would be awesome.
Computer: Apple M2 Max
Memory: 64 GB
I have no other microphones connected to the device, including those that might be in headphones. I did have a pair of Aviator 900s connected, but disconnecting them didn’t seem to make any difference.
