I CAN'T MOVE THE CLIPS, IT'S LIKE THEY WON'T HOLD UP SO I CAN MOVE THEM

I'm using a MacBook Pro M4, and when I select a clip and try to move it with the trackpad, or drag elements within Premiere to move them forward or backward, it doesn't recognize them. It's awful to use like this, since I'm constantly trying to arrange the videos, AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I CAN'T DO!!!
