Question

Why am I constantly being logged out of the new (Lightroom Classic) community forum?

I login, sometimes I remain logged in for a while, sometimes only for a moment. I login again, I get a code from Adobe, but I’m not asked to provide it and the login is successful. Totally random as to how long I remain logged in.

    I logged in from this forum page, and 10 seconds later I was logged out.

    I had to log in again.

    Hey All! We’re investigating this. Please refer to my previous request and provide a somewhat structured pattern of how often you’re required to sign in.

    Signing in every day may be expected behavior; however, changing the Wi-Fi or leaving the machine idle for a couple of hours might not be.

    @AxelMatt @kglad @leo.r @drtonyb - Your comments are recent. Please feel free to share the details.

    Thanks!

    details:

    on my mobile.

    each morning i’m at home and have to sign in by entering my email address.  it doesn’t matter whether wifi is enabled, or disabled.  i’m rarely (but sometimes) requested to use my adobe security app despite 2fa always being enabled on my account.

    almost always, i see a message (in red) saying there’s no record of anyone with that email.  then

    yesterday, i traveled to a different locale and did not need to sign back in.  when i got home, i had to sign back in.

    on my pc, each morning i need to sign in.  but when i go to the sign in page, i don’t need to enter my credentials (and they are not automatically added).  within a few seconds i’m returned to the adobe page from which i started and am signed in.

    Since a few days I see the same behavior also on my side.

    If I try to relogin there’s no MFA necessary. the MFA I must done on a login after I regularly logout from the forum.

    Hey, @Ian Lyons, @drtonyb, @Nancy OShea, and @AxelMatt. This is still being investigated, and we’d like to dive deeper.
    Could you record the approximate time of your sign-in and out, along with your respective time zones?

    Feel free to @ me if you get signed out before every 48 hours with the above details.

    Thanks!

    @Sameer K

    It just happened to me again, although this is the first time for a few days now.

    I think it’s a common issue for everyone to be logged out of some forums once in a few days.

    Try clearing stored Adobe cookies from your browser’s data cache. That’s always worked for me in the past.

    The next time you log-in to the Community, a new cookie will be created. Hopefully the new one will stick and keep you logged in.

    Firefox: Go to Tools (3 bars icon) ⇒ Settings ⇒ Privacy & Security ⇒ Clear Browsing Data.

    Chrome: Go to More (3 dots icon) ⇒  Delete browsing data ⇒ Chose the time range: All Time ⇒ Select data types you want deleted (cookies). Click Delete data.

    If you still have trouble, go to Browser Settings and ensure that Script & Cookie blockers are NOT enabled.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey @drtonyb,

    Thanks for reporting that you’re being logged out of the new community — we really appreciate you flagging this. Our community platform team is currently looking into the issue.

    I’m going to move your post from the Lightroom Classic community to the Using the Community space, since this appears to be related to the platform rather than the product itself. This will help the right team keep track of it and provide updates.

    @Ian Lyons Thank you for helping troubleshoot the issue.

    Best,

    @drtonyb

    I don’t have an explanation for why you get logged out. However, I have the same experience and have done since this new forum was first launched.

    @Ian Lyons

    Thanks Ian. Only Adobe will be able to answer my question. It’s getting very annoying.

    I don’t see this on my PC with the Edge browser.

    Do you have tried another browser and/or delete temporary internet files and cookies?
