Recently, when trying to open CR2 files in Photoshop CC, PS locks and becomes unresponsive. I can open the files in Lightroom and Elements.I can open the files and edit them, but as soon as I click Open Image or Done, PS locks. I have to open Task Manager and click End Task to close PS.I have updated PS and Windows 10.Any Ideas?Camera is a Canon T3i.
Dear Adobe community, after the first download Adobe Bridge (AB) from the creative cloud I wanted to try Camera Raw (CR) plugin. When I push the button with CR icon the small window with the stop sign and the message (You must have the license to use CR) appears. I guess I am doing smth wrong and only haven't enough experience.
I recently purchased the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Camera, I have tried everything in my power to convert these raw files. I downloaded the Adobe DNG converter 11.2.1 Beta and still nothing. Please help!
I clicked on the option "delet all the presets" instead of clicking the one which deletes the preset chosen.I wonder if there is a way to recover my presets? And if not, I want to say that it is dangerous and that it can happen very easily to someone who does not pay attention.
Hi, camera raw 9.1.1 Pshops6I have opened a set of images I wish to get looking the same, so I have them all down the left side, but see no way of applying the slider settings of the one just tweaked to the next one. Only if I open the one I just adjusted into photoshop can I then reopen the rest of them and use 'previous conversion' option, but that means I am committed to opening that last one and all those above it yet I am not ready yet to commit changes, they are a WIP and I am needing to see them all at the same time, I am going up and down the stack until happy with my settings and they all look the same as I arrow key or mouse click my way up and down them.I have to write down all the settings just applied before moving onto the next one. Surely there is a better way than that ?Merlin
Question...I have a bunch of images taken with my iPhone, I exported as tiffs for backup purposes. I also have a bunch of raw files. I like to convert to dng simply because of the sidecar file thats associated with raw files. In camera raw I can save and export these tiffs as dngs. the tiff files now are at 72ppi. Can I leave it at 72 or do I have to increase the ppi for export as dng? I want to maintain that quality and make them non destructive so whats the best way? Thanks[Moved from the (mostly defunct) Photography forum and into a Camera RAW forum - moderator]
Downloaded CameraRaw_9_1_1.zip. Installed. Still getting error msg in 6.0 saying file format not supported. Help???
I'm processing some astronomical images. These are Canon CR2 raw files. When I open them in Camera Raw I find that the bright stars have a dark offset halo around them in the green channel. Red and blue channels look normal. The halos have pixel values of zero (general sky background around them is ~3000) and then jump to values of ~20000 on the star itself. It looks as if a severe sharpening process has been carried out but only on the green channel. If I open the image with a different raw converter it all looks normal. Here is a 200% screen grab.Is anyone aware of a problem with Camera Raw??Thanks,Graham.
Programme: Mac OS 10.13.6, PS CC 20.0.04., Camera Raw 11.2.1, Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 19749
Hello there,I have a problem with Camera Raw. There I process the photos and save them as JPG. After that, I close Camera Raw with "Close". So it usually stores all the customizations in an XMP file.Well, just under a day later, all XMP files are still in place. See here:However, all are empty and when loading this error message is made:XMP file is virtually blank:The problem has sometimes been occurring for a long time. Mostly not. However, it is tedious when 100 photos have to be made twice.Programs: Mac OS 10.13.6, PS CC 20.0.04., Camera Raw 11.2.1, Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 19749
I have used quite a lot of Adjustment Brush in ACR, for selectively underexposing some subjects. Now I want to open the file in Adobe Photoshop to continue some more retouching, but I need the area that I used the adjustment brush over to be selected. Is it posibile and how would one do it ? Thank you very much,
Ctrl+Z work normaly in photoshop but it doesn't in Camera RAW filterIn Camera RAW filter, it only undo and if I want to restore, so I Ctrl+Z again, it still only undo. How can I change my keyboard shortcuts in Camera RAW filter?Thank you in advance
Hi Adobe,I've read the SDK and have a DNG file I've created and have the following question:I can use dng_validate with the "-3" option to output the de-bayered image and it looks as "it should" (meaning no noise, proper exposure). But, if I let it continue past stage 3, the image is significantly brighter and consequently noisier. My question is: what operation(s) happen after stage 3?Cheers.Matt
In the Adjustment Brush panel, if I hover over the "New" (Create a new adjustment (N) ) I can see that "N" will toggle the creation of a new adjustment brush. But I would really like if there would be a keybord shortcut for "Erase" (Erase from selected adjustment). I appologise if this is a newbie question, I am not an expert in Adobe Camera Raw, just switched from another RAW image processor. Maybe this informnation is somewhere available but I haven't found it so I created this post.I would really apreciate if someone could answer. Thank you.
I have just started to take raw pictures in my Canon 750D but Photoshop Elements 10 doesn't recognise the CR2 images when I try to import them (only the JPEG version). The plug in is there it seems when I look at the list in the Edit section. I have also tried to download the correct version of Raw Converter from the Adobe site which says it has installed but I can't see it anywhere. Any ideas what I am doing wrong please?
Hi,I'm sure most of us want to squeeze optimal data out of RAW files. In order to do that, I am currently forced to use other software which uses precise floating point calculations in RAW file conversion (as opposed to ACR truncations and rounding, losing data in the process) and then if needed, import files to Photoshop CC.Same thing about being able to choose demosaicing algorithm and Lucy–Richardson deconvolution (blur reduction) and all those advanced features that one can ignore in not needed but can be put into an advanced menu if one wants to use them.I know that precise and accurate conversions take longer than wild approximations, but why not adding a selectable option for those users that prefer quality over not waiting those extra seconds?Open-source developers can do that with very limited funding, I am sure Adobe can pull it off even better. For those wondering which software I am using, it's Raw Photo Processor (Raw Photo Processor (RPP) ) and Rawtherapee (Features - RawPe
Could there be a possibility to uncheck the information about lack of automatic lens profile showing when merging photos to Panorama in Camera Raw? I use tilt /shift lenses and I know there is no automatic lens profiles for them - it would be much easier for me not to have to confirm it every time I merge Pano or HDR Pano.Thank you in advance!
I was trying out the new Enhance Details function on Lightroom 8.2, and it is working well on some images, but on other images, it creates the new file, but totally messes it up by cutting out a square in one part of the image, and then other green, blue and magenta squares of the same size are placed randomly in other parts of the image. This doesn't happen on all files (and it isn't consistent as to which files...two shots taken minutes apart with the same camera and lens, and one it won't process correctly, but the other it will. If it messes up on a file, it always messes up in the same way if you try again. It doesn't matter whether GPU processing is enabled or not. Hi all,Camera RAW seems to not handle the best noise reduction with the files generated by the Nikon Z6 and FTZ.Working with Capture NX-D the problem is solved.Could you check and answer this question?Regards
Looking for a RAW profile to use in ACR 9.1.1 for a Nikon d7200 and Rokinon 8mm f:\3.5.I realize that new profiles are added to the "cloud" versions but I am still using CS6 and the ACR.Thanks for any assistance.Doug

Hi, Is there any way to load ACR preset on load?I want to open multiple jpgs in Adobe Camera Raw and automatically apply my saved ACR preset. I just don't want to always select all, then go to preset tab and apply preset and then unselect all,so I can start working on my images, cropping, tweaking settings etc.Cheers,Rafal
Hello. My question to developers of DNG concerns the DNG format, into which I have been converting all RAW photos, considering that DNG is a complete analogue of RAW. I use Canon equipment. 1. I recently learned that in many photo contests, if a photo reaches the final and claims prizes, confirmation of the rights to this photo (authorship) in the form of RAW files is required, and the DNG format is not considered as such. 2. Once I had a claim about a Canon lens purchased - on specific photos as an example. The support required me to submit RAW files. The DNG files were not accepted by Canon support and I was told that they lacked some important information. Question 1. Please confirm that when converting RAW to DNG some information is lost, that a) does not allow to identify the authorship of the photo, b) does not allow to perform photo equipment service support. Please indicate which information is being lost. If the statements written above are incorrect, please give a professional
I do have the RAW update that lets me use CR3 files. I can open them into Photoshop from Windows Explorer or from Open File inside Photoshop. But when I browse in Bridge, it will automatically place into After Effects. I can get it to place into Photoshop, but not automatically. CR3 doesn't show up in the options of file types in Preferences> Associate File Types. I found work-arounds. But they're kind of a pain. It's probably in front of my face. But how can I get this to work how I need it to?Any help is appreciated.
