Has anyone tried to use Azure AD, IIS with ColdFusion to authenticate users? Our user is external to our network and remote in via a pulse secure portal pulse secure looks up the users in a security group which is an Azure AD, They are then given link(s) to our internal apps. currently, I have to add their accounts local to the servers for then to even get to the site. without that the server rejects the log in a 401 error. I have added the security group to the server and tried different things, I even contacted Microsoft to see if they had any thoughts, they only said that I should be doing the auth at the app level, but I don't think we even get to the site. it's not even making past IIS so if anyone has some insight on how to set up an azure ad on a windows machine running ColdFusion and IIS, please drop a line. oh, these are some legacy CF apps. I really don't want to alter the code to make this work if I don't have to.

Hi, we recently upgraded our websites to a new server with coldfusion 2016 (old server coldfusion 9). We are running into strange behaviour. Coldfusion becomes unresponsive after running for several days (sometimes within a day). And even more strange, sometimes our webpages do respond normally but the coldfusion administrator returns blank pages.The administrator 'sometimes' gives the following message 'Error invoking CFC /CFIDE/administrator/updates/download.cfc : Metaspace [Enable debugging by adding 'cfdebug' to your URL parameters to see more information]' We are trying multiple things to solve these problems but we have not been succesfull. Currently we monitor our server every 5 minutes and when it becomes unresponsive we do a quick restart. Any thoughts what might cause this strange behaviour? Kind regards Thijs

My application is storing orderdata, including ‘DateOfDelivery’ - DoD, in a database (local).I wish to use DoD  to calculate the corresponding weeknumber and found a method (se printout).When the function is called from onClick getElementById id=”week” is updated with correct weeknumber -  but the result is only displayed.  I want to capture the value and save it in the database. Hello,I am trying to consume a webservice an set it up as per all the documentation I could find but I am getting errors like:Unable to read WSDL from URL: URL.asmx?WSDL I have rewritten the URL a few different waysremove the s from https,remove the ?WSDLRemove the https//: (different error)  But nothing seems to work.  The consensus is that it is a URL error but I can't think of what to do next.   I can hit the URL through my browser no problems and I can get the service to work in SOAP UI and Boomerang.  I just can't get it to work through the CF page I created. Any guidance is appreciated, thank you.  

So I'd like to start by saying the website tied to the IIS connector that is pointed to this instance of coldfusion is working and responding as normal.  So I'm not in an outage mode per say.. But I cannot access CFadministrator with the designated port as usual.  I get the login screen as normal and when i type it in it refreshes with all blue screen (same color as the background of the login screen) and does nothing. Chrome reports Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING.   All other instances of coldfusion are working correctly and i can pull up the cfadministrator for all of those just fine.    Another symptom is fusion reactor doesnt seem to want to work on that instance either.  All corrisponding pages clicks result in a blank page.   Its as if anything going through the built in webserver is getting stuck some how.  The iis connectors seem to be fine and working correctly.    I currrently cann

I have an issue with CFCHART that I am hoping to get resolved. Back in February I noticed that our cfchart will not produce a chart if the format = png or jpg. Only html format would produce a chart. I came to forums looking for a solution and found this thread (CFCHARTformat=png image not loading on browser ). I had our server admin change the cf chart cache type setting from disk to memory and then voila! - the png and jpg charts started to work as expected. After this most recent release/update it seems the CFCHART is no longer working. After some minor debugging I found that we are back at square one with charts only being generated if the format is HTML. I was thinking maybe changing the cache back to disk and attempt to check permissions to make sure nothing is blocking the CFFILESERVLET Mapping but the issue is that I do no have access to the server/server settings. I will have to communicate with a server admin on the exact steps to take to check these permissions/settings. I w

Hello, all, I have a meeting in one hour where I am part of a brain-storming team thinking of solutions for a task set for us by upper brass. My idea involves using CFEXCHANGEMAIL and CFEXCHANGECONTACTS, but I'm not sure if the contacts functionality can work with an Exchange Email List.  If it can, my idea will fly.  If not, then I have no idea to present.  🙂 V/r, ^ _ ^

I'm using  CF2016 on a Windows computer. There are third-party info graphic plug-ins like extendstudio. But the information has to be hard coded into instead of being dynamic. Coldfusion has its own charting capabilities but I'm looking for an open source, responsive infographic plug-in or software that I can load my <cfoutput> data in so that the info graphic plug-in can interpret it to produce charts and graphs. Does anybody know of any open source software I can do that for coldfusion?

I'm using Coldfusion 2018 and I have created a cluster scheduled task in the cfadmin, however the task is not showing up in the administrative console. I can see it in the cluster database however so I'm sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug. Any help is appreciated.

We are migrating from Coldfusion 11 to Coldfusion 2018. We are migrating from/to same server. After the running the installation, the install hangs at the importing settings. Have anyone seen this issue before. Hi, I just installed Cold Fusion 2018 Enterprise Edition on an existing VM server running Windows Server 2012 R2.  This is my staging server and already has a working copy of Cold Fusion 11 Enterprise edition which is working fine. I installed the 2018.0.0.2 version for Windows 64. Afterwards, I installed each of the 7 hotfixes in order, and rebooted between each install.My Cold Fusion administrator works correctly in that I can log on, and view the different screens.  My database server is running MS SQL Server 2017.I imported all of my settings from my Cold Fusion 11 server, and I can click on the Verify checkbox of my SQL Server datasource and the status is returned as OK. However, when I try to run my existing Cold Fusion application, I get an error as soon as my application reaches the first query.  The error in application.log is: "Error","ajp-nio-8018-exec-1","02/13/20","14:40:12",PEApplication,"java/sql/Connection The specific sequen

I've created a web site that allows people to retrieve maps for apartment complexes. It works fine, but they need to know certain information for a search, like the name, address, bounding streets, etc. I'd like to let them click one button, once they're on or very near the property to retrieve the appropriate map. Could someone share a high-level view of no more than a few bullet points to guide me on the software and/or CF coding needed to do this? Google searches drive me nuts, for reasons I'm sure I don't have to explain. I'm thinking that I could store the GPS coordinates for each property in my database. I just ran into a problem yesterday after restaring CF 2018 Ent. running on a Win 2012 R2 server.The CF site has been running for 6 years without any problems, and all of a suddenusing ORM (this.ormenabled = "true") breaks the application.After pulling the application appart, I was left with the application.cfc and index.cfm file.I discovered that the code within the onApplicationStart and the onSessionStart event are not beeing triggered. Changing this.ormenabled to "false" resolves the proble, as long as I stay away from the new modules that uses ORM. Has anyone seen the same behaviour?

I have a Coldfusion application running (entirely written by other people, but that I'm kind of managing now) that uses the cfNTauthenticate tag for users to log-in, but now I have been asked to make sure that using this is safe. I have read the official documentation of cfNTauthenticate, but it doesn't explain explicitly how the user name and password are authenticated against the NT domain.I am rather new to Coldfusion and not an expert of Windows so I might not be understanding some things in the documentation, but it really doesn't seem to mention this. The main question is, are the user name and password sent in clear to the Windows NT domain, or is it encrypted ? If any of you have some information about this, that would be very interesting for me.

We are running CF2018 Standard update 7 on IIS 10 (Windows Server 2016) and are seeing very unusual behavior.  Only the first call to a .cfm page returns valid HTML.  Each subsequent call returns a blank page and inspecting source shows an empty file.  If I stop the IIS application pool and restart it, IIS no longer responds at all, either for .cfm or static html pages.  If I completely reboot to get a clean slate, I again can get a response from the first .cfm page I visit and then everything hangs. Has anyone encountered such a scenario?  Any thoughts on where to look for information on debugging this? Thanks, Brian  

I am trying to set up a CF DSN using Access 365 (accdb) on win10 CF 2018 and I get this error messageUnable to update the NT registry.Variable DRIVERPATH is undefined.The google results are all over the board.Change the Registry key, change to 32 bit, etc. Is there a known solution to setting up this dsn?

CF2016 Enterprise, Windows 2012 R2 I had issues with this instance previously, but I was able to get HF installed manually, but now the CF Admin shows "There are no installed updates" and if I try to install any update I get the message "This update is already installed". If you try to install via the CF Admins, it just hangs and I have to start CF manually (Services). The update log ends with "INSTALLATION WAS CANCELLED BY USER DURING PRE-INSTALLATION".

Good afternoon. My apologies for the flurry of questions. This may seem like a rerun but I am working on a process that pulls in lines from a file one at a time. Each string is basically a list of tilde delimited values. Some of these values can vary in length or be NULL. I need to change the value of certain items in that list. I have tried using ListSetAt() to try to do this. I use the syntax below against the line below that. This should be changing the value of position 13 in that string, which is currently 48 to a value of 9. Rather, it is changing the value of what is now 0.3414 in position 16. It appears that it is still not recognizing those NULL values between tildes despite having that "YES" argument at the end. I wanted to open webpage(third party) as embed browser when click on the specific link from my webpage. If I click on the populate button, then read data from DB and populate in the third party website tesxtboxes as well when i click on the submit button from third party website i need to capture the data and save it to my DB. I just want to sync third party website and my website data at same time.

Trying to get a few local server instances set up under CF 2018, and I’m having inconsistent results. Sometimes a new instance will start and run. Sometimes it won’t. Sometimes a modified instance (e.g., change port #) will run. Sometimes it won’t. Thus far, I’ve had as many as five running at once, and if I shut all of them down, the sames ones that refused to start before still don’t start. I can’t produce any consistent results that help me understand what causes certain servers to start and others not to. Is this something others deal with? Or could I have something weird in my installation of CF 2018? For those who notice such things, some weeks back, I was trying to set up CF to run under IIS, but I finally gave up in favor of the CF server. I never had such difficulty with IIS. Create / modify server instances all I wanted, they would all work reliably. Any advice? Thanks!John
