Is there a way to use the CF admin data source Oracle connection here? OrIs there a way to encrypt the password in the cfexecute?ThanksJohnny

Hello, all,CFCs.  Some of us love them (I DO), others not so much, maybe.  But I'm curious about something.I recently posed a plea for help while just learning if something were possible in CF:  a dispatch table.Basically, a dispatch table is an object that can perform boolean comparisons, much like a switch/case, but there's no string comparison - you drill straight to the object property.Which, now, makes me wonder.  Is a CFC like a dispatch table (the various CFFUNCTIONs are properties of an object, ie the CFC), or more like a large switch/case (the various CFFUNCTIONs just the equivalent of <cfcase value="myFunctionName">...</cfcase>, in which string comparisons are performed in order to get the correct code)?Just curious.V/r,^ _ ^

Hi, I have a stack coldfusion2016 x32 + apache24  x64 on windows 2008 x64 server ... If I execute the installer coldfusion2016 x64, it will upgrade automatically the coldfusion2016 x32 version to coldfusion2016 x64 version, preserving x32 version settings ?mayb a silly question but ... thanksMauro

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me pros/cons of either of these two functions? Which one is preferred and if there is any difference in performance/security, etc? I used arrayContains() thinking it's better/faster for validations some fields on the back end as well as reducing number of lines in situations like this:<cfif userAccess eq 1>       <!--- Do something ---></cfif><cfif userAccess eq 4>      <!--- Do something ---></cfif>Instead I used this:<cfif arrayContains([1,4],userAccess)>     <!--- Do something ---></cfif>​Would listFind() or listContains() ​be better fit in this case or not? I have function that should save some form fields. This function is able to process multiple insert rows. So far I was able to create logic to handle this but the only issue so far I have once user tries to save the record. The server response looks like this:The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code. Null Pointers are another name for undefined values. coldfusionAt first I was looking and trying to find which value is not defined/missing in my function but so far I couldn't detect the issue. The next thing I did was commenting out the cfquery. After that I was getting message Form successfully saved.. This tells me that my code is breaking inside of the cfquery tag. Hi,I recently installed a wildcard SSL certificate on our domain artgalore.ca.Soon after, I started to get support emails from customers to say they could no longer access the site because of a 403 error, as seen below.  When I turned off my anti-virus software, I was able to access the site.  I searched a couple of forums for specifics, nothing seems to be working.Any help is appreciated.Arny

Good Afternoon,I am a Systems Engineer and need some help. Whenever I disable TLS 1.1 on the ColdFusion 2016 server (running on Windows 2008 R2 Operating System), I can no longer communicate with the SQL Server and receive the enable TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 error message instead of the web page.For Security reasons, we want all communication to be on TLS 1.2. Once I disable TLS 1.1, I cannot even load a webpage on the local ColdFusion Server without receiving the TLS error.I have asked the Developer to update the SQL JDBC Native Drivers, the CF 2016 Server is using native SQL Server driver v2011.110.7001.00 dated 8/15/2017.The java version CF 2016 is using is jre 1.8.0_191.The SQL 2012 Server is using native SQL Server driver v2011.110.7462.06 downloaded on 1/6/2018. SQL Server 2012 Management Studio version is 11.0.7462.6.From what I have read it keeps pointing me back to the native SQL drivers. I installed the developer version on Windows 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5.I ran the web connector to connect IIS 7.5. I see the new mappings in IIS so I'm assuming the connector worked ok. My problem is when I try to access the CF administrator. I can still only access it using the built-in web server url of http://127.0.01:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm.Once I run the web connector to connect to IIS, should the administrator be running out of IIS instead of the built-in web server?

In my application.cfc file I have the following code:this.mappings["/includes"] = "#expandPath('../../priv/inc/')#";and then on a page I have the following CF include set up:<cfinclude template="/includes/imageOptimise-thumbnail.cfm">For the majority of the time when the page is submitted the imageOptimise-thumbnail page runs without any issue but occasionally it will error saying that it can't find the imageOptimise-thumbnail.cfm. If I resubmit the page, chances are it will work but the question is, why is it sometimes not being able to find the page?I had a look in the CF Admin and I can't see anything in the logs saying that there was an error but it is clearly showing a Coldfusion 'template not found' error message when it fails.Anyone got any ideas?

Has anyone found a fix for this? Using the Eclipse plugin version of CFBuilder 2016, when I select a few lines and hit TAB it can take up to 30 seconds in a big CFC to indent. It is ridiculously slow!! I end up going line by line and tabbing but thats getting old. Why is this happening? Its starting to make CF Builder unusable for me. Anyone find a fix?

I have tried just about every release of CF Builder since inception. I downloaded CFB2018 and am giving it a go. First issue, no matter where I look I see no ability to increase the size of the buttons in the toolbar. They are WAY too small. I find it impossible to believe that there is no way to enlarge them, so I must be missing the setting somewhere.I cant find anywhere to enable code hints. I know people are sick of hearing the comparisons to HomeSite, but there absolutely MUST be a similar feature to right click on a tag and see code hints, etc. If it is not currently available you need to do a demo of HomeSite to the folks who create CF Builder.I am trying to introduce CF to a new client and Adobe is making it a VERY difficult sell.

I decided to upgrade my local developer edition to CF2018 from CF2016. I uninstalled CF2016 and then installed CF2018. I went to move the files from the Coldfusion 2016/cfusion/wwwroot directory to the new installation as I did previously when upgrading from CF11 to CF2016, I found that only a log folder remained. Did CF delete my files on uninstall? Any way to get those back?

So,Wanting to apply the latest CFv11 patches due to all the press coverage about security problems being exploited in the wild I visited the patch download page at ColdFusion 11 updates but when I pull down patch 18 and run an MD5 checksum the result I get is NOT what's listed on that page.I have downloaded a bunch of the previous patch files and run the same check (openssl md5 <filename> in case anyone thinks I'm doing it wrong) and they all match what's printed on the download page. It's only patch 18 that doesn't match.I'm trying to find out if that's a mistake by Adobe or there's some sort of corruption of tampering with the hotfix18.jar file.Any help appreciated as this is holding up patching for security.
