Hello,I have a strange problem with my includes, if i save my file with changes, CF can't find them anymore.Example:<cfinclude template="views/file.cfm">Is working fine, when i change something and save file.cfm, I receive the following error 'Could not find the included template views/file.cfm.' which is strange, because the filename and location did not change.Changing the the cfinclude and the filename into 'file1.cfm' does work. Which made me think it had something to do with caching, but clearing the cache and restarting CF did not work.Do anyone have an idea?Thanks,G.Running OSX 10.10CF 11 Upd 2. Dev

Hi,I query data from an Oracle database,  loop the result and add some data using querySetCell. Finally using cfquery dbtype="query" I select everything using an ORDER BY clause. Sadly my data is not sorted the way I expect. Special characters like German umlauts are sorted at the end of the result and not according to their position in the alphabet. When I dump the result of the query I see characters are "broken". Instead of Ö at the beginning of a word I see some placeholders. Looks like the data was encoded twice or misinterpreted according to the character set.Does ColdFusion have issues working with data from an Oracle query? Is there a way I can tell CF the data in the query is UTF8 encoded?Best,Bernhard

Recently switched to coldfusion 18, Was trying to capture signatures using signature pad and canvas but seems to me <cfimage> tags are not properly capturing the signatures. Writing an image to file using capturing the whole frame instead of that signature. Where all the tags and code is properly working on coldfusion 11. Can someone tell me what's going on here?

Hello,I am administering a Cold Fusion MX7 database that I did not write. I have daily users that are able to access this database one day, but not the next. Their access is very sporadic. It appears that when they reconnect to a different access point that they have no issues, until they are re-connected with their starting access point and find themselves with the error message " File not found /notclear/Contact-IT-Dept.cfm " There are multiple access points and almost any user can be affected using any different access point. I ran the code analyzer through my admin control and have discovered these 9 issues. How can I discover what these issues mean and how can I discover if these issues may be the problem to my users access? Migrating to CF2018, we have noticed that our webservice calls are quickly pegging system resources and resulting in java heap space out of memory errors after a few minutes.  Increasing memory allocation results in longer periods of time before erroring out, but similar results.Pointing at java 8 and moving tools.jar into the WEB-INF/lib directory shows successful results with near instantaneous response.Has anyone else seen this or have any idea why java 10 would be showing this issue?

Hi,I'm trying to create a dynamic variable and then call it dynamically and I don't know if this is possible.  The easiest way to explain what I'm trying to do is to show what I want to do but obviously doesn't work.<cfcookie name = "variable#rsSet.variable_id#" value="cookievalue">and then later I want to call it by doing something like<cfoutput>#cookie.#rsSet.variable_id##</cfoutput>but obviously that doesn't work.  Is there a way to call the cookie without typing the exact name of the cookie?Thanks,Mike

Hi,I have a recordset with some values in it that I want to add together but I don't know how to do it.  The recordset looks like:<cfquery name="rsResults" datasource="username" username="value" password="F00tBall">SELECT *FROM optionsWHERE value_id = '#FORM.value_id#'</cfquery>I list the values in a table<cfoutput query="rsResults">#rsResults.value#,</cfoutput>and I want to add together all the values and display the result but I don't know how to do that.  Can anyone help with this?Thanks,Mike

Can someone help me resolve why when I generate a 2 tab spreadsheet, the contents for the second sheet show but the first tab is the one highlighted at the bottom of the page? I have tried trying to make the first sheet active again before making the file but it gives me a write error. See attached image.Second question how do I use cfspreadsheet update functionality to add a sheet to the front of an existing spreadsheet, I cant seem to find any good documentation on it.

Hi. I've been looking at the ColdFusion feature list and under Email Management, I read "Attach a callback handler to the CFMAIL tag to get delivery notifications." Can anyone provide a link to an example of what this looks like? Thanks in advance.

I am in the process of developing a contact management system for my company and have built coldfusion pages that allow the user to import their personal contacts from outlook, as well as export contacts from the system into their MS Outlook contacts. The process is fairly simple on the users (in my mind) but it requires using Outlook's import/export function, which is about 6 or 7 steps. My users would of course like to have this process simplified. Is it possible to have a button on one of my pages that automates the entire process? i.e. creates the csv file (or whatever other format is needed) and then automatically pushes that data into outlook (and vice versa) ? Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Recently Adobe released HF16 for CF11 but I am having issues installing it.   the details log file states that all prerequisites are successful but it errors out with "No Administration Privileges" even though I am running it from an administration command line.I didnt have this problem when I implemented HF15.  Matter of fact, as a test, I uninstalled and reinstalled hotfix_15.jar without any issues in the same command line. I've been working on this for a month and I'm stumped.  This is the code to logout...<cfscript>   StructClear(session);   StructClear(application);</cfscript>...that's it (besides some HTML "You've logged out").This works fine on our DEV & TEST environments, but gets a 500 Error on our PROD environment.  Nothing in the error log.  I've searched exhaustively and cannot find anything.  And we have a System Admin who is difficult..."it's the code."Any idea?Thanks in advance.ColdFusion v11.

Hi There,As soon as ColdFusion 2018 update 2 was installed and the Apache connector was rebuilt, we are seeing this following error in mod_jk.log, repeatedly.[Thu Feb 14 12:42:06 2019] [16186:139977799252096] [error] uri_worker_map_update::jk_uri_worker_map.c (1299): Unable to stat the /opt/coldfusion2018/config/wsconfig/1/uriworkermap.properties (errno=13)The server is running RHEL 7, with SELinux and locked down. However the apache is running without any issues and the web application doesn't experience any issues. But the mod_jk.log is flooded with this entry.It would be great, if someone could assist on this please. We didn't face this issue before.

Hi, here's my problem. My web server uses CF MX 7. I want to get form output, create a .pdf from it, and send the .pdf as an email attachment. This seems to be easy using CF MX 8 and beyond: use cfdocument to create a .pdf and attach the .pdf to an email usig cfmailparam, without writing to disk first. This cannot be done in CF MX 7.So, to accomplish what I want in CF MX 7, I need a way of doing the following:1) Output form data to the browser. (Done)2) Save the format to disk *in the format in which it is outputted to the browser*. (CFFILE does not help in this regard)3) Convert the file on disk to .pdf format. (I assume CFdocument will do this.)4) Send the .pdf file as an attachment to an email.Is this possible? If so, how can it be achieved? Thanks very much.Best wishesChris

I installed ColdFusion 2016 Update 8 and my Scheduled Tasks disappeared!!!How do I get my Scheduled Tasks back?

We installed the CF11 Update 16 today and it deleted all our scheduled tasks.  Unfortunately, we didn't notice until we installed on 3 other servers.  All tasks gone.We tried to restore with a recent CF Archive from the Admin.  Did not restore tasks.It looks like the system did create a backup of the old tasks file: neo-chron.bak.However, when we rename this back to neo-chron.xml and restart the server, CF replaces it with a blank file and makes a backup again. During installation of CF2018 on windows 2019, I'm not getting option to select IIS as web user. In-Built web server is being used.  Anyone had this same issue?

I have a process that reads an ID from a table, increments it by 1 then calls several pages that write the new ID to different tables. I want to use cflock to prevent a second user from reading the ID before it gets incremented and written back out. This process can happen on several different pages. If the lock name is universal across the site does CF prevent it from running on page2.cfm if page1.cfm is running it and it's locked? Hello,I need to make a user pause for 5 seconds when another user is completing a particular task. I can't figure out why my cflocation tag doesn't execute after the cfflush is done. If I remove the cffush it works. Hello,We are using Cold Fusion 2018 on a windows server 2016. When I try to access a cfm file I get an error, the details of which tell me that I do not have access to a table( dba_data_files) in a query that is being run. When I copied and pasted the same query in my SQL editor I do have access to the table with the same user which the cfm file is supposed to access. I have double checked the data sources in cfm admin page and also the System DSN all are looking to point to the same database and the user. So what could be wrong why am I getting this error ? After installing the latest update hotfix 16 on our coldfusion 11 server (Win 2008 R2 with latest patches and latest java jdk) the CF server restarts (access to CF admin is working) but the CF ODBC service does no more start. After un-installing the update it works again.This already was an issue in update 15, see discussion "CF 11 update 15 - ODBC server no more starts".Adobe please fix.RgdsManuela

I am having problems with VCard encoding, such that my coldfusion generated VCards are compatible with Apples Address Book, but remain unreadable by Outlook or anything on a PC. A link is clicked which sends a persons id to the script which then outputs the details (beginning of script shown underneath). (I understood that VCard v2.1, not v3.0, would allow me to specify UTF-8 as Charset) The Outputted VCards look to all intents and purposes correct when opened in Apples Textedit or Microsofts Wordpad, though when opened with Notepad on a PC I can see that line breaks are replaced with a rectangle (suggesting no character) and this is preventing Outlook from reading the details. Also, the file has no extension and so isn't recognised on a PC as being .vcf. Anyone shed any light on this?
