Hello,  I am using Adobe ColdFusion (2018 Release). When I run a page containing a Crystal Report, the page appears blank, Crystal Reports (SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for 32 bit and 64 bit are both installed).Can someone please help me in resolving this issue ?ThanksIQAdobe ColdFusion (2018 Release)Developer

We are getting the below error intermittently in Coldfusion 2016 error handler where REST service is used.I would like to know if this issue is due to network connectivity or SQL Server connectivity of max connection exceeded issue with ColdFusion REST Service.Error Occured At : UserValidation REST Service [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]A problem occurred when attempting to contact the server (Server returned: Connection reset). Please ensure that the server parameters passed to the driver are correct and that the server is running. Also ensure that the maximum number of connections have not been exceeded for this server.I am not a ColdFusion expert. I would like your help to identify the root cause of this issue. Please Help.

I recently installed Coldfusion 2018 Dev locally (to replace 2016) and everything seems to be working fine, except the Connectors section of the Performance Monitor doesn't show any data.I am not sure why and I cannot find the documentation to describe how anything needs to be configured for that data to show up.

HiWe're running ColdFusion 2018 Standard with Update 1 installed on a Windows 2016 server.When sending emails using <cfmail> we have two issues...1) We fire email frequently, but not heavily. Maybe 100-150 email per hour during the working hours. These emails are backing up in the /cfusion/mail/spool folder and clearing very slowly. Each one takes approx 6-10 seconds to fire, but it does fire successfully.2) In the Administrator > Server Settings > Mail > Maintain connection to mail server is not checked. When checking the box and submitting the form, the Administrator does not update this checkbox to stay on. When looking at the cfusion/lib/neo-mail.xml file this value selected as true.<var name="maintainconnections"><boolean value="true"/></var>Does this imply there's a glitch with the administrator?Has anyone any suggestions to help?Kind regards, Stuart

I am having a problem uploading multiple files at the same time. The site we are building is a catalog of sorts, and each item may have anywhere from 1-20 images.For this discussion, let's say we're uploading three imagesThe input on the form creates three cffile tags in the form, named img1, img2, img3. Those are working.After inputting the form, I see three distinct temp files. However, when the <cffile> tag runs, it only uploads the first file. Three times.I created output that would show all of the variables, and the output shows the three distinct images, but then <cffile> runs and all of the server variables are correct for the first image, but shown three times.Now, these file names also have to be written to a database, so I have to write the actual file name to the table, with time and date appended on it so that the file names are truly unique. Hi I'm planning to setup a highly available and scalable ColdFusion server on AWS. If I purchase a single ColdFusion Enterprise licence, can I install it on multiple EC2 instances? These can be fail over clusters or auto scaling groups.

I have a database of vehicles that have zip codes associated with them.I want to allow the user to do a search, i.e. Within 40 miles of zip code 19606.  An API will be queried, I will match results to my database and display the vehicles by distance from 19606.More deeply, although you probably have better ideas, this will send the distance and zip parameters via an API and return all zip codes and distance from the initial zip code.   I will then take these zip codes and query my local database to get zip code results and sort them by distance from the initial zip code.Alternatively I have searched and have seen people use their existing zip codes and adding lat/long data and then using some magic (ok some formula) figuring out which zip codes are within the radius and how far they each are from the original zip code.I have searched and most of the questions relating to this topic are rather old so I'm open to any and all ideas.Cheers!

I have a simple question regarding how I build an application using ColdFusion Reporting Service. I have an application that setup to pull individuals certificates, badges, and confirmation letters. One of things I have done is created a *.cfm form that generates a stored procedure in the database when a specific individuals certificates, badge, and confirmation letter is pulled. After the stored procedure is created the *.cfr is call and the stored procedure is executed.I am using CF-9 to do this which I know is past end of life.I have been told this is an antiquated method of do this by an individual that has only used PHP and WordPress and never used a ColdFusion Reporting Service or SQL Server Reporting Service for that matter.Is there a better way of creating reports such as this?

I am trying to figure out how to reference a 2nd level key within a structure for the purpose of hiding it within a CFDUMP.  If I just CFOUTPUT it, I can use one of these references and the value outputs perfectly:- #test.level1.level2#- #test["level1"]["level2"]#But if I don't want CFDUMP to output test.level1.level2, I can't get it to work (e.g. hide='what?').  I've tried these permutations, with no success.- level1.level2- test.level1.level2- level1["level2"]- test["level1"]["level2"]Any ideas?  Thanks.

I've successfully created/registered a rest service, but I'm having trouble keeping it alive. I can understand that a change in code needs a refresh of the service (in administrator or restinitapplication), but the following situations also break a service"clear template cache" button in administratorrestart of serverAnd the only way to handle this, is to write a scheduled task which polls the service and calls restinitapplication when it does not respond.Even if I set the scheduled task to run every 5 minutes, it's still possible that the service is totally unavailable for 4+ minutes. Other frameworks like Taffy does not have this problem.Why should i opt for REST if SOAP works many times better? Or am I missing something?

I am using CFHTTP to connect to an external company API. When I check in the "inspect" of google Browser it is like Resquest Method "GET". The API receives request via "POST". Hi,ColdFusion could not delete the file C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\wwwroot\LAW\Briefs\A2878\pwd1.txt for an unknown reason.I am unable to delete any .txt or .msg file immediately after upload from their physical path and as well as from server too and the Coldfusion doesn’t return any particular reason for failure.It doesn't allow me to delete the file from the physical path i.e. from the brief folder, it will show an error pop-up with a message 'The action can't be completed because the file is open in coldfusion.exe'(see attached screenshot). It seems that Coldfusion locks the file in the background and after sometimes it allows me to delete the file successfully.For another extension like .docx, .pdf, I am immediately able to delete the file after upload. Apart from this, when I restart ColdFusion service it will allow me to delete the file again as if the file is getting locked by ColdFusion. I am using ColdFusion version '11,0,03,292866'.Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Hi, I'm doing some form data validation and would like to add rules for files (size and type). Ideally I want to avoid CFFile as the validation shouldn't have anything to do with moving the file anywhere. I know that when ColdFusion processes an upload, it stores it in a temporary directory and filename. This is stored in the form field (e.g. form.file = c:\sometempdirectory\blahxxx.tmp) and I can use that to do a GetFileInfo and find out the filesize. Awesome.... except it's called blahxxx.tmp :( I want to know the real filename, not the temp filename but I can't find it anywhere. ColdFusion must know it, probably hidden along with its other darkest secrets, as it'll use it when we do a CFFile action="upload". So where is it being hidden? Any ideas? I have seen suggestions of using an extra hidden field plus some javascript, but to be honest, I don't like trusting something like that as it's possible to abuse it. I have extensive records containing dialog edited using CKEditor. It translates father's to father’s and this is how it is stored in the table.I am pulling the records to make a web page - hundreds of them at a time. I switched it thinking I might solve the issue.60% of the time I will see "father's" on the completed web page. 40% of the time I see "father?s"I infer that the engine is choking on the ’ as it processes #GetData.BirthNotes#  and I'm guessing it is a speed issue - it is being processed faster that it can interpret.

I have an application that is on 2 servers where form data from server #1 populates and creates a fill-in PDF on server #2Server #1  - Railo server  (Cant do PDF stuff)Enter Info into Form  > Submit Form to Server #2Server #2 -Windows server with CF16 on itGets form field info and creates a PDF.Now I want that PDF to be copied back to server #1.How can I do that?Do I save it on server #2 and then do some file transfer or can I save it back to server #1?

We are trying to use CFPDF merge and having issues having all the merged documents come out the same width.  currently some are slightly larger than others but enough to make it annoying.  have verified the orientation of all docs are the same, and have already attempted to use the getinfo action to determine document widths, but apparently CF is "optimizing" these at runtime to what it "thinks" it should be thus throwing off the proportions to use in hscale & vscale attributes.    Anyone have this issue and found a solution?
