Need to set up data source in CF11 to a SQL server not using  mixed authentication so I need to use a domain account.  When I try to connect SQL see's it as an sql account not and AD.

Sorry for the slightly facetious title.I've been using CFEclipse for years and never had the inclination to move away from it. However, 2 days ago I had a software crash and needed to re-install. Installing Eclipse was no bother but it seems that CFEclipse is down entirely and I really need all my tag-completion and code-colouring nonsense, so I decided to install the latest version of CFB instead.However, even though the installation was fine and it linked to my old workspace no problem, the editor seems just like notepad(!) It's just a grey text editor; no code completion, no colours, no CF toolbar, nada. See attached screenshot.Can anybody advise?

I have 2 servers in stage setup. Installed Coldfusion in both. My question is1) I would like to manage both servers using a single admin page URL installed in first server only2)  If I create a cluster by adding the second server as remote instance, then do I need CFIDE folder in second server?I am new to coldfusion setup and your suggestions will help me a lot.Thanks,Sarath M

When trying to use the includecolumnnames parameter CF throw and error saying the  spreadsheetaddrows function only supports 2 to 6 parameters, but documentation shows 7. I am using ColdFusion 11 and have just started using the EncodeForHTML function instead of HTMLEditFormat whenever I need to display text that the user has entered, usually via a textarea.  We need to save the formatting so that information the user has entered remains understandable.  Users have a choice of whether to display the info to the screen or export to a pdf.  We are using EncodeForHTML to make the displayed info safer and we are using <pre> to retain the required formatting.My problem is that when I need to export the data to a pdf, then EncodeForHTML acts differently than HTMLEditFormat does.  For some reason, I get extra lines inserted.Here's some sample code.  Just save to a cfm and run:-------------------------------------------------------<cfsavecontent variable="f">This is my sample data.Value 1  20%Value 2  30%Value 3  50%Here's my summary of this data.</cfsavecontent><cfhtmltopdf saveasname="MyTest.pdf">

I am testing some simple code on this page: Untitled Document  to do an online order with Stripe.com, but I keep getting this error message when I click Submit:405 - HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.Does anyone know what to do to get this to work? Hi All,For the past few weeks, the ColdFusion Server will randomly just hang... where a page request will just keep spinning... restarting the server has cleared it up... but we're having to do that more frequently.Can you give me some insights into this problem or how to debug it on CF11 Server?Version: ColdFusion 11 Update 7IIS: Windows Server 2012R2 8.5.9600.16384Database: SQL SERVER 2008 R2I suspect the problem may be related to the number of workers/processes running at a given time? We can't seem to get this running right, and need someone with experience.We have 100 IIS websites, 65 of them are coldfusion. So we "tuned" AJP for that number of connection pools. Under the "ALL" configuration, we have an allotment of 9000 and a reuse size of 138. The server.xml matches thread count and timeout.Originally this was at the default of 250, and sites began to hang and never load. Took us forever to figure out this was the reason...So now we have the sites running, but they use extreme amounts of memory. The worker processes (w3wp.exe) appear to allocate large amounts of ram as soon as they start, and having jakarta in the ISAPI FIlters list reliably causes this. Remove jakarta, and site returns to normal fair memory usage. So naturally we removed jakarta from all PHP sites, and only have it on the CF11 sites. We also began grouping coldfusion sites based on priority into application pools, to try and reduce ram usage.Do we need to tune jakarta for every single site? Is t

I have a Coldfusion 10 Websockets channel that streams data every 2 seconds. This has worked perfectly for some time, however I have now approximately doubled the amount of data being sent and I have problems when it comes to Chrome and Internet Explorer – they both come up with the following errors -Websocket connecttion to 'ws://mywebsite.com' failed: Invalid frame headerUncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'readyState' of undefinedEverything works perfectly on Firefox.I am assuming the errors relate to the size of the packets and that they are not correctly specified in the header, since if I reduce the amount of data slightly everything works fine. As I test more with CF2016 Enterprise 64-bit, I'm finding weird and inconsistent performance issues.  At the moment, I have two queries against my Oracle database that vary from 2ms to 3000+ms from one run to the next.  Both queries are against relatively small tables that have all necessary indices, and both use bind variables.  In production (CF9 32-bit), I'm not seeing anything like that.  My Oracle analytics show no problems with the queries, no recommendations about tuning.I can't help but assume that this release is too fresh and will require significant updates to get it to be production-ready.  It feels like nobody else is trying to use it yet, so I can't find any other posts about this.  Not to mention that the stupid decision to stop numbering and adopt this new clunky name makes it even harder to get decent Google results.Has anybody else begun testing their applications in this new version and found weird issues like this?  I'm wondering i

Every individual that works with CF tells me how easy AJAX is to work with. But, I beg to differ. I am trying to get a simple product page to calculate products * quantity. I spent a good 12 hours scouring over the internet and never found the solution. I have a page called shoppingCartForm.cfm that calls shoppingCartAction.cfm into play. On the shoppingCartAction.cfm is where I am trying to calculate the sub total. I can get the individual variables to output correctly, yet they will not cooperate when I try to coax them into multiply them. Maybe I should use a little positive affirmation and call them rabbits. I have a ColdFusion 10, front end on a Windows 2008 R2 (VMWare) machine interfacing with an Oracle 11g database.  I recently had an issue (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2121425http://)  ​that was solved by changing this.datasource to application.datasource.   Shortly after, I was tracking  down some other issues, specifically one where a CFMAIL tag was not loading output of a query.  I toyed with it, even trying to brute force the TO address in there, and just caused other problems.  Since I am working with a copy on my Test server, I decided to start over.  I copied the two files that I had been working on from the copy on my Development machine that has not been touched since it was promoted to Test, expecting to see the CFMAIL error again.   Instead I see:When I go to tline 76 in the module listed, that line is completely blank.   I am baffled as to what needs to be done to get back to the original error.

I have enabled click to play flash in Firefox and it only works on a few sites. Yahoo and many other sites just load up their flash videos with no problem. What is the fix for this?

down votefavoriteI am using ColdFusion as my backend for an AngularJS application. I need my Application.cfc to run in order for my authentication module to run. However, because I do not have any .cfm files, it does not run on request. The files in the root of my folder are all of the application folders (controllers/, styles/, views/, etc.). Also at the root is my index.html which kicks off the angular application as well as Application.cfc. I want Application.cfc to run as soon as the application is accessed. Is there any way to do this, or will I need to make an API call to Application.cfc from a controller/service to kick it off?

We are upgrading Coldfusion from 9 to 11. This worked in 9 just fine, but running into errors in 11. I am using Coldfusion 11 and installed updates up to 4. Now update 5, 6 and 7 are available. Do i need to install all one by one or just need to install 7 only? If i install update 7, do that includes all previous updates (5 and 6)?Paresh
