Hi,I have a request from a client to generate an excel spreadsheet from a query. I have the query kicking out the fields and I can generate the excel file without a hitch. The problem comes when the client takes that excel file and then tries to manipulate it. The majority of the trouble comes from fields that should be marked as currency or dates. I am, with some struggle able to generate a "real" date field. Before this Excel was not sorting the dates properly.I was able to call an excel formula by using this:<cfset SpreadsheetSetCellFormula(s,"DATEVALUE(#Chr(34)##Replacement_ETD##Chr(34)#)",therow,9)>Date value forces Excel to acknowledge this as a real date field. However, this fails when this file is manipulated thru excel. The next problem is the currency field. I can't get excel to acknowledge this as a currency. It always comes up custom. I have a Windows 10 system with Apache 2.4 where I do ColdFusion development for a client who is considering an upgrade to ColdFusion 2016.   I installed a trial CF (planning to use it as a development after 30 days) and it works so far except for scripts with CFIMAGE with WritetoBrowser. The browser debug tools in Firefox show an error: "NetworkError: 403 Forbidden - http://{vhostname}/CFFileServlet/_cf_image/_cfimg2.....jpg".The Apache {vhostname}-error.log shows the following: "AH01630: client denied by server configuration: C:/CFusion2016 ...."I earlier tried CF2016 on an older Windows 10 system with Apache2.2 and the applications using CFImage all seem to work fine there.   I understand there were numerous security changes from Apache2.2 to 2.4.   I suspect the mapping of CCFileServlet is behind the problem but nothing I have tried seems to make it work.  I am looking for ideas before I ditch the Apache2.4 - I would rather not go backwards with v

I want to pass a dynamic url string from a web mapping application to a cold fusion page that then opens the pdf file on the users browser. I would like to set up a single website with CFM11 under IIS8.5In this website there are several CFM applications, each under a different "Application" subfolder. For security purposes, monitoring and separate maintenance shutdowns per application, these would all need their own "application pool".However, this means that these applications should run under a different application pool than their website root node. Good Morning All,To begin, I am quite unfamiliar with ColdFusion, or any of its behaviors/capabilities. I am trying to track separate installs on clients, however nothing is showing up in ARP or HKLM\.....\uninstall. I was wondering if anyone could explain the behavior this program has on install. I am getting an error with my application.cfc file for my database. I am using coldfusion 10 on a windows machine. This application file works on cf 9 and 8 and I do not know what the problem is now. I just started working with ColdFusion this week.I have been experimenting with adding, changing, deleting, and viewing records in a small test database table.I would like to be able to display a list of rows and then select one row to change.I have been able to create a small HTML table to show the rows, but I am not sure that this is the best way to do this and I cannot figure out how to select a row from this HTML table.Perhaps someone could share an example or point me to an example on the internet.Thanks,Brad

On a Solaris server I am trying to patch a CF11 Update 7 instance to Update 8. Another development group updated all the other instances except the two I work on without talking to me first. I'm working on proof of concept of making my app more scaleable and reducing the support footprint on OS patching.I'm trying to take a CF11 Enterprise generated WAR file, and deploy it onto an Azure Tomcat 7 web app. I've never deployed CF apps on J2EE before, so I'm not sure if my problems are user error, or attempting the impossible.I can fire up Azure, deploy a Tomcat 7 server, and put a (non CF) war up in the webapp folder, and watch it deploy and become usable.  But when put the CF war up, it explodes the directory out properly, but then refuses to run the web app.So I installed a local x64 copy of Tomcat 7.0.50 (same version as Azure) and tried the same thing. Locally, the sample WAR files worked fine (non CF), but when I tried a war produced by the Administrator on CF11 - the one page index.cfm (with only a cfdump in it) fails.Near as I can tell, it has to do with the web.xml generated by CF 11 Package and Deploy wizard. Ok, so I've got a strange problem that I've been beating my head against for over a week now.  I'm holding out a little hope that maybe someone here has seen something like this and has a solution or at least can point me in a direction to make some sense of it.We are running an enterprise application on CF9 currently.  Recently we made a large update with some advancements and in part of the advancements I'm using some request scoped variables.Said request variable is a structure that is set in Application.cfc OnRequestStart.  Randomly since the changes have been put on our production servers we get an error email (we have an error handler defined to capture and email errors when they occur), stating that key.subkey is undefined in request scoped variable.  What makes this so bizarre is in the email from the error handler (that is processed in the same request) shows the key.subkey existing in the request scoped variable in a <cfdump var="#request#"> in the e
