My form has input fields for first and last names and for an email address. Form validation for email is not working people are entering First Name" 1, Last Name: 1, and email: 1 and the action for the form is completing without catching the error.The action  invokes a <CFMail> to send the information to the office manager.Any thoughts?.

I'm having issues connecting to my database via the CFIDE/admin area...anyone experiencing the same?I set up my CF11 on yosemite and configured it my MAMP Pro and set up my DB wia MAMP's phpMyAdmin section...I created DB/tables all that I can get to my CF pages but I cannot get my DB connected...I have tried everything but have not find anything online about itI know I have all of that set up correctly because when I go to verify mySQL DB under tools menue option in MAMP Pro it verifies that it can connect so the user name is root...the port is 3306, and server is localhost and when I go to CFIDE admin I chose MYSQL (DataDirect) as my driver is that right or should I chose another driver?One thing I noticed, when I put in a wrong password I get the following errorjava.sql.SQLInvalidAuthorizationSpecException: [Macromedia][MySQL JDBC Driver][MySQL]Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)but when I put in the right password I get the follwoing errorjava.sql.SQLExce

Hi there, we have installed CF 11 enterprise on Linux server. We want both dev and test env/instances on same server. cfusion instance serves for dev. We added a new CF instance 'test'.Now what should we do in terms of connectors so that it can recognize appropriately. e.g. for vurl with 'dev.com' it should hit cfusion and for 'test.com' it should hit 'test' instance. In mod_jk, there are properties file which has cfusion mentioned. What should we do for test instance?Thanks

I am trying to reference a query from a struct and use it in other cfm files but I get this error message from CF11 Linux:"Attribute validation error for tag cfoutput. i am using coldfusion 6.1 with oracle 9i. i want to upgrade oracle to 10g or 11c. will coldfusion 6.1 have problem

I am having trouble uninstalling CF Builder 2 Update 1 on a box upgraded to Windows 10. The uninstaller commands me to Stop Coldfusion servers (which as far as I can tell aren't running). I've checked running services and can't fathom what might be causing the problem. Is there a trick to this? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!The full error message:

After upgrading our shared hosting server from CF9 to CF11 all of our grids broke.  I've managed to get the toolbars back with several form elements but those elements' values are not getting passed to the CFC to filter the grid data.  This worked perfectly in CF9. We have a development copy of CF11 that we installed as a RTM build that has since gone through CU1 through CU5.  We just recently installed CF11 on our production server which was done from the latest deployment package and was then upgraded to CU4 then CU5.  We've noticed instabilities with the production copy that we haven't seen once on the development copy the years it has been running.The most common are "Error Executing Database Query. Timed out trying to establish connection" errors at random while other applications using the same DB server have no issues at all.  If you reload the page the DB call goes through the 2nd time.  Only CF applications on this web server have these issues and not .NET or Java based ones.So wondering if I had configuration wrong I merge compared our development versus production server and found a number of core parts of the CF11 that started as RTM to be much older.  Various jar files, the Jetty runtime is v6 instead of v9,

For security reasons, we I have been asked to update a ColdFusion 9 Enterprise (9,0,2,282541) application's Java 8. Is it possible to configure ColdFusion 9 to run on Java 8? I have successfully configured it to work with the last version of Java 7 (1.7.0_80).When I attempt to use the Java 8 JRE, the site throws an Error 500, with the message ""Error","jrpp-0","08/31/15","16:48:21","cfadmin","javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory.setFeature(Ljava/lang/String;Z)" in the exception log.Thanks!

We've been using Flash Remoting for years and now, while testing CF 10 on a development server, find that it no longer works. In particular, I get a 404 error when trying to access https://{ip address}/flashservices/gateway.I've already confirmed that remoting is enabled in the Administrator and followed the steps given in the documentation (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Installing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cdec18969-7ffa.html).Any advice?

I'm a new user to CF (few months) and would like to create a keybind to wrap code in a JS multiline comment.  I am aware of Ctrl+Shift+C for CF commenting, but would like to do it for JS as well.I have also attempt to create a key in the Preferences->General->Keys and in Preferences->ColdFusion->Profiles->Keys.  Is there a way to tell CF to insert a '/*' at the beginning of select code and add a '*/' to the end when creating a key?  If so a link would be great so I can read up on the different types to learn how useful this could be.If one already exists that would be great as well (I have not been able to find any hits for it on my searches).Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It say to check the log files, but this is a log file so that is no help. I  have looked in the other logs, but I don't see anything that would correlate with this error. I have a brand new Windows Server 2012 with a clean install ColdFusion 11.  I have about 30 sites setup on the server on test urls.  I have been going to the home page of each site, just loading the home page and then going to the next site and loading the home page.  After loading the home page for about 10 sites ColdFusion stops responding and never returns a response of any kind. When this happens  can however still load html files with no problem.  I have not been able to find ANYTHING in any log file in either ColdFusion or IIS.  I tried removing the connectors to ALL website and then connecting them again and still same thing.  I have played around with JVM memory settings and things like that and nothing seems to work.  I am at a complete loss of what to try next.     Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.I should also mention that if I restart IIS when this happens everything work fine again for another 10 page

CF11 Scheduler getting NULL pointer error in CF Administrator.This issue showed up in my production environment immediately following a restart of the Cold Fusion services to recover from a JVM OutOfMemoryError.   We have identified what caused the OutOf Memory error and have implemented code changes to prevent this in the future however now the scheduler isn't accessable via CF Admin. I'm thinking a file may have gotten corrupted in the scheduler during the OutOfMemory event. I have redundant application servers so I simply moved all my scheduled tasks to the other server until I can sort this out. Otherwise the server works fine. I made a archive of the server settings back a month or so ago, I'm wondering if I import that archive in through packaging and deployment if it might fix the corrupt file. I've also read some post about replacing the \cfusioninstance\lib\neo-cron.xml to resolve the issue. I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

I recently moved my site from CF7 to CF9. We normally send out several bulk emails and newsletters in the 20,000 - 50,000 message range. I send these emails in chunks of around 500 messages at a time and then wait for the spool directory to have less than 50 messages before sending another chunk. This has worked great for us for several years but now with the move to CF9 the messages are leaving the spool directory very slowly. It seems to process one message every 1 to 2 seconds. A list of 40,000 emails would in the past take say 8 hours is now taking 30 + hours to go out.Here are things that I have already looked into:Running Symantec Endpoint Protection and have set a rule up to exclude the CF Mail directory as well as it's child directories.
