ColdFusion

I have installed CF10 on a Windows 2012 R2 server running IIS 8.5. IIS default page displays properly but I cannot get the CF Admin page to display. I'm getting HTTP Error 500.0. I am new to this technology so the suggestions offered have not worked for me.

I am looking into moving an Oracle database to a cloud server in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Clouyd Services.  Are there any considerations to be aware of if I am using ColdFusion 9 or 10?

I made some changes to an cf file but they are ignored in all my browsers. I have even deleted the file from the path and that is ignored in any browser and it still shows the original file. I have tried this on 2 different cold fusion servers 9 and 10 with the same results.

This is my second day learning ColdFusion. I am able to display .cfm pages. However, when I tried to browse/load the .cfc file, I kept getting this error.Unsupported Operation. Check application log for more details.These are my simple testing codes.<cfcomponent hint="A first CFC">    <cffunction name="getValue" returntype="String" access="public">        <cfreturn "Hellow World">    </cffunction></cfcomponent>Where is the "application log" so I can check for more details?

Coldfusion flash form failed loading data. The error we got is “[Flash Remoting MX]->Request received was not Flash-based (not of the binary AMF protocol)." Please advise! Thanks!

My configuration:Coldfusion Enterprise 9.0.1 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 Web Edition 64 bit, 4Gb Ram, 2 Xeon processorsThe sites using Microsoft Access Database, randomlly, go in timeout. This is due to the fact that "ODBC Server" lock the database (in the db folder there are the .ldb file). If I restart the "ODBC Server" service, the database is released and the site works. Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue?

If I buy CF 11 Enterprise, can i set up separate instances for development, testing and production on different servers?  Is there limit on the number of instances?  If I wanted ot do the set up three servers with CF 11 standard I would have to buy 3 licenses, correct?

We're running ColdFusion 10 Update 2. It was running on Java 1.6 and we'd like to upgrade to 1.7. The server is Windows 2003 32-bit.I installed the Java 1.7 JRE and pointed the JVM path to the default folder in the CF Admin, but the services would not restart. Editing the jvm.config to point back to the original folder location (x:\coldfusion10\jre) enabled me to restart the service. So, I re-installed the JRE to x:\coldfusion10\jre2 and pointed the JVM path there, but had the same issue.I did some reading and saw some posts that stated that the full JDK is needed and not just the JRE, so I installed that to the same path. Same result.Any thoughts on what I can do next?

Hi, Running Windows server 2008 and CF 9.I'm trying to update CF9 Standard to CF 11 standard.I've downloaded the trail version.I run the installer and then the migration wizard runs.But after that, the site is still running under CF 9. I know this because if I stop the CF9 process, the site goes down.There must be some other files I am supposed to modify or move but I can't figure out what they are.I do notice when I go into IIS 7, there are handlers set up for both CF9 and CF11 -- I can tell this by looking at the file paths to the various handlers.Where is the 'hook' that ties CF into my web pages? That is what seems to not be working. The 'hook' is tying my web pages into CF9 and not CF11I've been trying this for about a week now and still no luck. Very frustrating.Help would be much appreciated.ThanksMike

I just finished a new CF10 install (Standard Edition, 64 bit, Windows 2008R2).  Everything seems to work ok (Admin screens, etc).  Except that when I go to Server Updates > Updates to do the updates to the fresh install, and click on Check for Updates, it comes back and says "No updates were found."  I have 2 other CF10 systems, and each of them has no problem seeing that there is an update waiting.  Not seen this before - in the past a fresh install would immediately have the full list of Available Updates waiting to be installed.Any ideas?thanksReed

Hi,At my facility we have access to drives that are up to a TB in size.  We have a lot of documents we plan to scan and save "online".  Currently our web servers are relatively small, the on I am on now is only 20GB and it's almost full.Can I upload documents through a web page to a drive that is not on the web server, and also build a page that links to those documents so that users can open them?Thanks

I cannot find the exe file to open my new CF 11 Developer software.  It's unzipped, but the exe file cannot be found in a folder search.  I have Win 7 Ultimate on my PC.  It's not a server.  I understand the developer edition can be used on Win 7. Please help.

Recently we changed ISPs and I need to access the CF admin to update the external IP to relay email properly. This has never been a problem in the past, we've done it many times. Now, it will not accept our password. I've tried to reset the password as everywhere suggests by editing the neo-security.xml file to admin.security.enabled, value=false, but no improvement. I've also attempted to modify the password.properties file manually, but every time I restart the CF App server, the file reverts back to encrypted=true and appears to generate a new password. How can I force a reset to go through?

Adobe,I need to alter a ColdFusion installation's ISAPI connector configuration to use a standalone, non-ColdFusion 64-bit Tomcat 7.0.59 installation, running a Grails application, as a second worker responding to a very specific URI.A standard configration - changing uriworkermap.properties and workers.properties - is all I thought I'd need. Hi,I deployed CF10 to JBOSS and everytime I need to access the CF admin i need to put cfusion. (eg https://<host>/cfusion/cfde/). even the deployed CF application I need to put cfusion. is there a way my CF application can access without cfusion? e.g. https://<host>/myapp.

Hi All,I have weird problem with the CF10. I configured Tomcat 7 and set up SSL. Tomcat manager is working fine for both HTTP and HTTPS for IE and Chrome. I created WAR for the CF10 and deployed it to Tomcat 7. CF10 admin can be access via http in IE and Chrome. But the HTTPS cannot be access via IE (any version ) but accessible via Chrome. Even my tomcat manager stop working via HTTPS for IE but its working fine in Chrome or firefax. Anyone know the configuration I need to change? Would you know the reason why I have this weerd issue?

We previously installed CF10 on one of our application platforms but the project has been delayed.  Now that it is starting up again, I wonder if I should install CF11.  Is there any end date that Adobe has published for CF10?

Hello, everyone,I'm working on a project that another developer created many moons ago.  I'm attempting to SELECT a blob from an Oracle db, and use CFIMAGE action="writeToBrowser" to display the image.<CFIMAGE action="writeToBrowser" source="#qry.IMAGEDATA#" format="png" />It's giving me the error message "ByteArray objects cannot be converted to strings".  The datatype IS "BLOB", not varchar.I'm running CF10 update 15 on a Windows7 system, with Oracle 11g.  Am I missing a step, somewhere?V/r,^_^

I'm trying to get a list of users in a distribution group through a cfldap query, but my record count is always 1.I've tried:<cfloop query="results"><cfoutput>Name: #cn# Email: #mail#<br/></cfoutput></cfloop><cfoutput>#results.RecordCount#</cfoutput> Value I get back is 1.Also tried<cfdump> <cftable> but the results are always the first record.I'm thinking I need to loop the query and create a list somehow, but I'm getting lost in all the online documentation.
