ColdFusion

On a new WIndows 2012 server (64bit), IIS 8.x installed, CF10 installed (to latest patches), CF10 hardening done. Ran WS-Config on individual IIS sites (not the "All" site). Jakarta virtual directory in place in the IIS site, and pointing to the correct wsconfig file for the IIS site :  {CF-Home}\config\wsconfig\{iis-site-number} Default document setting in IIS set to defaults; have also tried setting index.htm as first default document.  Browsing to http://mydomain.com/ returns a 404. Browsing to http://mydomain.com/index.htm returns correct content. Problem happens with any subfolder on the site. Have verified that index.htm exists in all tested folders. (Browsing done on the local server console.)Have deleted site web.config, then re-enabled index.htm as default document in IIS manager. Have checked permissions to the file; they are proper (and beside, going to http://mydomain.com/index.htm works fine, so don't think it is a permissions problem). No URL rewriting at server

I am using a cfspreadsheet tag to read excel file. Since, I am using QoQ, the file import errors out since the header row has spaces in it?How do we read the header row specifically and replace spaces and save the file before moving forward? So about a month and a half ago we switched from CF9 to CF10, and we were excited about what new features we would find in the revamped Scheduled Tasks section.  As it turns out, our optimism and faith was severely misplaced.  In every single aspect of the scheduler product, Adobe fails to deliver a usable product, and in most cases takes severe steps backward.Did you copy over your old neo-cron file so that you wouldn't have to set up 50+ tasks by hand?Well lucky for you that all the tasks will now be in CAPS for some reason, and every one of them is labeled as "paused" even though they are currently running.Did you like how nicely CF9 grouped the tasks by type, sorting hourly, daily, and weekly tasks into groups?For your convenience, that's now gone.Would you like to change the name of your task?Sorry!  Error Message: It is unable to store the job because one already exists with that designation.Would you like to change what URL is called on the task?Sorry!  Error

I am unable to import just the dsn's and cf9 mappings from a cf9 server into cf10. 

Running CF10-Enterprise, 10,0,9,284568 with Update 9.  This is running under JDK 1.7.0_21, and is fronted by Apache 2.2.x and all runs under RHEL6.x.  It seems to work fine In short - is it possible to create a new instance, and have that new instance run as a different user than the "main" instance?  If so, what trouble does it cause?In more detail...The main reason we'd like to have a separate Instance is for "complete" isolation, to prevent one CF process or instance from affecting another, vs having one CF instance and just a lot of websites under it.  Service isolation is a policy.I spin up a new Instance (CF Admin -> Enterprise Manager -> Instance Manager), and start it.  It runs as the user "cfusion", which is the same user that the main instance runs as.  I'd prefer it to run as another user, namely the user that owns the site this instance is  for.  So if I have site www.site1.com owned by user site1, I'd like the CF java process t

I am unable to find coldfusion7 anywhere .Found this link http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=coldfusion7 But its taking me to coldfusion 8 , 9, 10 dowload.

I haven't touched cold fusion in 10 years so I'm a bit out of practice. I have a request from a user to save the form data on a form she submitted. I looked at the code and even made it just a simple form with no cf tags at all. And it still deletes the form data, is there a way to save it when the user clicks submit? I've tried adding the preservedata = "true" and that doens't help either. Any thoughts would be great.ThanksLaura

CF10 on Windows 2008R2, IIS 7.5Trying to implement application isolation as per CF10 Lockdown guide.I am asigning dedicated user account for each individual instance.However, the cfadmin Administrator console will start any other instance using cfadmin's account instead of the instance account.PLEASE let me know if there is a way to have the Adminuistrator console to strat each instance with it's onw account.I tried using windows service as well, but because the account is not member neither of Users, and of course not Administrators group, the service will not start. Please advise

We have a scheduled task that runs every 15 minutes and looks in the 'ColdFusion9\Mail\Undelivr' folder for any undelivered emails. If it finds any it moves them to the 'Spool' folder. It has been running fine for almost a year. Last week we applied Hotfix APSB13-27 and the next day we started seeing emails in the 'Undelivr' folder for hours. I manually ran the task that moves the emails to the 'Spool' folder, and the email was then sent fine. That makes me think the Scheduled Task is not running as we think.Is there anyone who has heard anything about the Hotfix APSB13-27 causing problems with Scheduled Tasks?We are running CF version 9,0,1,274733, use JRun4 as the App server, on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2.Any help is most appreciated.

Hi,I am running CF10 on Windows 2008 R2 server.Today, I applied update hotfix 12 to my Coldfusion10 server installation and now Coldfusion 10 Application Server does not start anymore. After install I ran Web server configuration as recommended. Now, when I start it from server manager concole I get an error Windows could not start the Coldfusion 10 Application Server...When I start Coldfusion Administrator I get page with:Service Temporary Unavailable!The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.Jakarta/ISAPI/isapi_redirector/1.2.32 ()I downloaded hotfix directly from this page http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-10-update-12.html after running Update from Administrator and download failed few times.I restarted the server box but, it did not help.Any ideas?Thanks

Hello,i am parsing an xml file by using a CFLoop. Some rows in the file do not contain every element. I want to make an advent calender. Is it possible to make it so you can put it on facebook? Like other companies does with there advent calendars. I will not have a product in each window but an image. And I want the user to be able to open the window on the day it should be open. Like an ordinary calendar but digital. How do you do it? Are there some good tutorials on how to do it?

Hi I am using a simple nsert statement .The insert statement picks a variable from the form and inserts it into the database I have no loops in the page the code is : <cfif isdefined("Form.Category")> <cfquery name="InsertCat" datasource="ShoppingCart"> Insert Into ShoppingMstCategory(Category)Values '#Form.Category#') </cfquery> </cfif> The insert runs twice on its own. can i install elements 12 on more than 1 pc

Hello,We are currently looking for ColdFusion training on the Administration side of ColdFusion. Does anyone know of a reputable training class that is face to face that we could look into. I researched a few Authorized Training Centers and did not find any classes that were scheduled. Things we would like to see in the course is Installing CF, Upgrading CF, Securing the Server and overall troubleshooting of the ColdFusion application. The type of training we are looking for is not geared for the developer, but more toward the individuals that will be managing the server etc. Thanks,Barry

CF 10 installed fine and CFIDE/Admin ran ok, however, other sites did not invoke CF10 even though 'all' was specified in the install and all IIS options were enabled.  Used the connector to remove the 'all' entry, but now cannot add it back.  What's the fix?

Administrator is serving up fine as well.  However, subdirectories of my webroot are not being processed by ColdFusion.  It won't serve up CFM pages.We've compared settings, subdirectories are set to inherit from the parent webroot.  Subdirectories are serving HTM pages and the CFM pages are showing up as HTM pages, unprocessed.I do not know if this was occuring prior to the updates.Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I need to transition as soon as possible.Thanks!

I am a non-techic trying to fix something for work. Your help is really appreciated.I have a form with checkboxes (4 check boxes). Everything sumbits fine. SQL db is updated perfectly and data is displayed on webpage w/o any problem. However when I go to edit an entry, on the edit form, (if more then one checkbox were selected oringally), non of the checkboxes are checked. If only one checkbox was selected orinally, that checkbox is selected. What am I missing? I know I am suppose to use loop to get all checked checkbox values, but I have no idea how. Hi,I'm building a website for selling boats, I would like to open for people to be able to put in their boats for sale and that this information they are putting in automatically comes out on the website.I'm building the site in dreamweaver and was thinking about using the form function. Also, I'm unsure if coldfusion is the cheapest and best way to do this. I also would like to be able to verify that input information is ok to go on website.Any ideas, help?Thanks!
