Hi,When I installed CF10, I selected the option in the installer to install the documentation. However I cannot see any sign of it on my PC.Where does it put it? I realise I can access it online, but I have always found it much more efficient to have an offline copy running on my local server.Alternatively, is it possible to download the docs as a zip file and install them locally?Regards,Andrew.
I am using Coldfusion MX and trying to access a shared folder across the network for listing its contents using <cfdirectory>Even though the shared folder is accessible via normal windows actions (i.e., got to run and type \\server-name\folder-name, i am able to view the contents and access the folder contents) but unable to access via cfdirectory. Also DirectoryExists() method returns false. This is so weird.I have checked the share properties for the folder in that server. everything seems fine as i am able to access the shared folder via windows. Clueless as to why cfdirectory doesn't recognise this folder in remote server. Can someone help with this issue?
I guess EWS is the way to go since Adobe bailed on the CFexchange tags. I need to access my mail/calendars on a hosted exchange server. I'm using CF 9.0.1 with hotfix4 and Java 7. Here's the error I get;Error:Could not log in to the Exchange server. ________________________________________connection="exchangeConn"server="EXVMBX016-5.exch016.msoutlookonline.net"username="exch016\j_ttt"mailboxname="j@ttt.com"password="[removed]"Protocol="http"port="80"formbasedauthentication="TRUE"formbasedauthenticationURL="https://owa016.msoutlookonline.net/owa/auth/logon.aspx"Here's the code I copied from this forum;<cffunction name="EWSAddEvent" output="false" returntype="Boolean"> <!--- EWS added by vjl 2013/10/31 ---> <!--- CFExchange in CF server 9 or older will not talk with Exchange 2010 at all, it is promissed to be fixed in CF 10. &
I have over 2,000 emails in mySQL database with company names as well. Unfortunately, these subscribers do not enter the company name the same. So I came up with the idea to pull the company name from the right side of the @ symbol, ie: yourname@company.com. But try as I may, I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Can anyone help me out here?
I have an component called: Event.cfcLong story short, I init() it by issuing a command like:<cfset eventObject = new 'com.Event'() />This component has 2 properties: data (a structure) and name (a string). The init() method calls a private method:<cfset VARIABLES.setName( VARIABLES.getAttribute( 'event' ) ) />The setName() method is implicit, ColdFusion builds it based on the name attribute. I manually created the getAttribute() method which works with the data property. In the getAttribute() method, I have a command that reads:<cfset LOCAL.retVar = VARIABLES.data[ ARGUMENTS.attributeName ] />Well, CF keeps saying that 'data' does not exist in VARIABLES. But I thought that properties that were defined in a component were put into the VARIABLES scope. So how can this variable NOT exist when I have it defined at the top of the Event.cfc component as a <cfproperty>?

I'm in the process of re-writing a web app that someone else did a very poor job on, especially the database design. While examining the existing database, I ran into an "OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" error, so I went into the CF Admin and bumped the setting from 512 up to 2048 (CF8 Developer Edition). Now I can't get CF to start up, and as such I can't get back into the CF Admin to change the setting back. Is there any way to fix this without reinstalling CF?
I recently started running CF10 on a totally clean Windows 2008 machine (VM) running IIS 7.5. I set everything up. On my old machine (non-vm) running CF9, Windows 2003, and IIS6 I never had trouble with the server monitor interface. Now, the interface will stop reporting every few mintues, and does not start tracking again unless I tab into one of the other windows and click some links then go back to the main interface. I have tried every web browser, and on multiple machines to make sure it's not a client issue, and it's not as far as I can tell.I even added my vote to the bug database here, which may or may not be related: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3539667I do not use internal cache to store queries, nor do I want to. The ColdFusion application log file is no help because the rows are empty where they correspond to the times when the monitor UI stops tracking (see attached screen shot). ColdFusion-out.log does, however, provid
We are running CF10 on 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 (VMware) with IIS 7.5 and 8Gb of RAM. A pretty typical setup I would say. I am running a medium sized site and several smaller sites and an intranet, nothing too crazy. I have been doing some research this morning to make sure our setup is optimized, and I have a few questions.JVM heap is set to 2048 (min) and 4096 (max) with MaxPermSize=356m.Full JVM argument list looks like this if it matters:-server -XX:MaxPermSize=356m -XX:+UseParallelGC -Xbatch -Dcoldfusion.home={application.home} -Dcoldfusion.rootDir={application.home} -Dcoldfusion.libPath={application.home}/lib -Dorg.apache.coyote.USE_CUSTOM_STATUS_MSG_IN_HEADER=true -Dcoldfusion.jsafe.defaultalgo=FIPS186RandomI have read in multiple places that the min/max heap size should be EQUAL, and I have read that I should define a "PermSize" in addition to the "MaxPermSize".Can anyone confirm what is the best average ratio to use for all these settings given the system
In IE 7, the first tab's height is incorrectly rendered - it is the combined height of the up/down arrows in the scroll bar instead of the tab's content. The rest of the tabs are rendered correctly. I am using IE 8, and changed the Document Mode to: "IE 7 Standards." It renders fine in IE 8 or even Quirks mode.I'm not sure if CF 9.0.1 update created this problem. Can someone test this code on CF 9.0?Here's a very simple test case - copy/paste this to a new .cfm file and take a look on IE 7 (or IE 7 Standards mode in IE 😎<cfoutput><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"><html style='height:100%;'><head> <title>CF Tabs Example</title></head><body></cfoutput><cfajaximport tags="cflayout-tab"><cflayout type="tab"> <cflayoutarea title="Tab 1"> &
I have recently updated from XP to Windows 7 and my edition of Adobe Photodeluxe 3 Home Edition will not load. I have successfully used Adobe for years and wish to continue using it with Windows 7. Can anybody help?
Our cfapplets.jar has recently started throwing a java security error. The error reads: This application will be blocked in a future Java security update because the JAR file manifest does not contain the Permissions attribute. Please contact the Publisher for more information. This seems to affect the hotfix for CF8 and CF9, as well as the stock CF10 cfapplets.jar
Keep trying to convert a PDF file to Microsoft Word and keep getting an error message saying I do not have permission to do this.

I am attempting to setup a custom 404 error with CF10 and IIS 7.5. Previous to CF10 (and IIS 7), you can get the URL of the non-existent page via the querystring (e.g., 404;http://www.example.com/some/file.html) when the custom 404 page is processed. However, with CF10 and IIS 7.5, the querystring returns 404;http://www.example.com/jakarta/isapi_redirect.dll. Is there a way to retrieve the actual URL of the missing path, like in prior versions?
I want to wrap my head around MVC, and I know the subject matter is, in and of itself, technical. I'm not the best ColdFusion programmer out there, but I'm pretty seasoned. As such I'd really like to understand MVC, but I have yet to find a resource that has been able to do so. I just finished watching an hour long video and the presenter basically through a myriad of terminology at me, and no comprehension was really made. Has anyone found a resource out there that provides maybe a high-level overview of MVC from a CF standpoint?I'd really like to utilize the principles, but I just can't seem to find a training source that can speak to me.
The information I've seen indicates there is a hotfix for CF9.01 which will allow the cfmap tag to work with Google maps v3. We have installed the latest hot fixes. I obtain an error when trying to use the Google maps v3 API key with the cfmap tag indicating you are trying to use a non v2 key. Google is discontinuing support of v2 on Nov 19.Is there something else we need to do to be able to use cfmap with v3? Do we need to upgrade to CF9.02?Upgrading to CF10 prior to Nov 19 is not an option.Does anyone have sample code to share? Thanks for your help.Pam Butenshen (AAOS)
When I change the log location in ColdFusion Administrator it changes the location of most but not all the log files. I have a requirement from my customer to place all log files on a separate partition on the server. For ColdFusion 9 I was able to modify the registry settings to change StandardOut and StandardErr for the ColdFusion Jrun service. This does not appear to the case for ColdFusion 10 which now uses Tomcat 7.I tried modifying log4j.properties file and was able to relocate the hibernatesql.log, axis2.log, and esapiconfig.log but not the coldfusion-out.log.I am running ColdFusion 10 Enterprise Edition on a 64-bit Windows 2008 Server.
I have a CF10 Instance running on a Mac-Server with Apache Connector. Right now I have deployed an Application which is SSL enabled. I would like to serve the same Application, but without SSL from the same Server Instance. Does anybody know, if this is possible, and if, what I have to change in the Configuration. Thanks for helping.

The old environment still works with CF 8 standard license without any problem. But applying the same license to the new environment, it got converted to developer edition from enterprise (trial) edition on new environment. Please help ? How can I make it to work as Standard edition, instead of developer edition ?Thanks,Susan
I have an autosuggest field that returns a country name which works fine. <cfinput type="text" name="country" message="You must enter your country of residence" validateat="onSubmit" required="yes" size="45" showAutoSuggestLoadingIcon="false" autosuggest="cfc:ajaxlookup.getCountries({cfautosuggestvalue})">I now want to retrieve the country ID from the country selected above and bind it to a hidden field.Does anyone have a code example?

I am trying to invoke a CFC via a URL: $(function () { 'use strict'; // Load countries then initialize plugin: $.ajax({ url: 'https://....countries.cfc?method=getCountries', // url: '/autocomplete/content/countries.txt', dataType: 'json' }).done(function (source) { var countriesArray = $.map(source, function (value, key) { return { value: value, data: key }; }), countries = $.map(source, function (value) { return value; });And get the following error:NetworkError: 403 Forbidden - Any help in fixing this would be appreciated.
