Digital Editions

I had ADE 3 installed and without uninstalling it I ran ADE 4.Then I uninstalled ADE 3. I try to open an ascm file and an error appears: "check activation". I looked for solutions on the forum and I've seen the recomendation of de authorizing the computer. But it doesn't let me.

Since the 4.5.5 release, our readers have been reporting many errors when trying to open their books, including:E_ACT_NOT_READYE_STREAM_ERRORError getting License. I can't do "getting Started" on my iPad even though I have installed Adobe Digital editions.I only get the 16 page manual?

when i open digital edition it keeps telling me that the program isn't responding and after running the troubleshooter it says program is incompatible . i'm using windows 10. What is the fix?

Dear kind, knowledgable Adobe Staff member-As a user of SEVERAL Adobe products, I am really NOT loving the fact that there is NO CLEAR answer that I can find here (OR even in doing a Google search) for how to completely REMOVE/UNINSTALL Adobe Digital Editions 3 (for Mac)...and there are a couple/few UNanswered Adobe Communities posts (such as this one) asking this SAME question!If you're going to create an installer for the MacOS platform (which does NOT have the built-in Winblows uninstall "feature"), then PLEASE DO either include a uninstaller tool (either installed during the install process, built into the installer as an option, OR have clear, official, and easily accessible step-by-step instructions on how to do this!You've lost ANY shot of my returning to ADE software by not having these features...please do help me re-instill some "faith" in your company's responsiveness to the current LACK of support that I am experiencing in attempting to remove this unwanted software from my

Hola, Instale hace tiempo el Digital Editions en un ordenador y posteriormente autoricé el equipo. Despues de un tiempo y desde otro ordenador, cambié el correo electrónico asociado a mi cuenta y también la contraseña. Ahora, estoy volviendo a utilizar el ordenador antiguo que estaba autorizado con la cuenta de correo antigua. Lo quiero desautorizar y no me deja por que me pide la contraseña, meto la que tengo actualmente y me dice que no es correcta. No sé que hacer.Un saludo,Daniel B.

I just put digital editions on my computer . it is authorized but when I open it there is only one line giving the title and then choices of file, edit, reading and help. Nothing else comes up and I cannot open the library at all. Also down loaded files are described as "pinned" and I cannot find them

When endeavouring to download any book from my public library to put on my Kobo via Digital Editions on my Mac I am unsuccessful.   After sliding the book to Kobo The following error is given:  Errors Were Detected... "CE_COPY_NOT ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book"What permissions do I require, and how do I activate them?Incidentally, I can execute the whole process from the public library through Adobe Digital Editions to my Kobo on my old PC (albeit very slowly) without any permissions problem.  Thus it is clearly not the Public Library declining permission,for me to acquire the book on the Kobo.I would greatly appreciate advice to solve my problem.Cheers.

After I authorized the computer I bought the book on (at work) I wanted to send the book home to read.  It said I could authorize up to 6 computers, but when I clicked on Help/Authorize Computer nothing happened.  How can I authorize other computers?

I tried my Adobe ID, and can read my book, only using the PC.  There should be a way I can use my phone device running Android.  Or do I have to buy a book for each device?

I have been using my nook for about a month and have been downloading from the public library material to in in epub and pdf format.  I just have just downloaded three books to ADE and they now reside in ADE, my problem is my Nook is not shown as connected.  Does anyone have any idea as to what I should do?  I can read the books on my table top, I just can't get ADE to recognize my nook when previously it worked.

I hope Adobe support team can see this message coz I have no other way to get help. I need Adobe to reset my Adobe ID authorization device list so that I can authorise my id on my new device.

Hello.  I’m on Windows 10.  My ADE 4.5 stopped working, i checked in here to get solutions and did everything but nothing works !  I cant see any of the books that were in ADE either and when i try to transfer  a book I borrowed from the library to my Kobo.  Everytime I drag and click it I get the following message. «Adobe digital editions has stopped working windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available».   Is Adobe working on the problem ???   PLEASE HELP i dont want to go back to paper books !

When I open ADE  I get the message : Onverwachte (unexpected) fout ( error) occurs E_10_CANNOT_openWhat is that and how can I be helped.

Hi all,I've been using ADE 4.5 on Windows 10 for months. Suddenly it stopped working properly. Uninstalling and Reinstalling did not work. First I thought is was the already described and addressed "blank screen" issue. But for me it looks different. I do not see anything at all, not only the bookshelf is missing/blank. On the other hand ADE 4.5 seems to work "behind" the missing display. I can see downloaded ePapers in the "My Digital Editions" folder and when I right-click somewhere into the bookshelf I get a context menu (german in the screenshot).So something seems to be wrong with the GUI...Regardsclk

setup: Win 7 64 bitI've been using ADE 2 since it came out.... but suddenly when I double click an ascm or the epub, ADE2 comes up but shows only a blank screen.  Eventually the windows error dialog shows up and says it has quit working.  The only thing I can think of that I did about this same time is get a flash update installed.  Is that likely to be related?If not, any ideas what has happened.ps - So far I have uninstalled ade2, downloaded latest and re-installed ADE2, but saw no change in behavior.PPS - Just remembered there were also a couple of windows updates today,  Including install of ie-10

I can't seem to get help anywhere else, so I hope you can help me here.I downloaded a Freading (file type is .acsm) book from my local library, which is in my Downloads folder on my Windows 10 desktop. When I double click on it to open it, the computer constantly brings up the message "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" It is asking me to re-download Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.5 when I already have it on my computer. The computer won't allow me to open the book and I don't need to install the ADE, which I've reinstalled numerous times already to see if that was the cause of my problem.What can I do to open this book so I can read it on my computer?Thank you.

I tried to have my adobe digital editions ebooks transferred to my newly purchased tablet (huawei mediapad). They won't transfer; Device is authorized and set to auto download. Same problem on huawei snartphone (p9 lite). Anyone had this problem and fixed it?
