Hello, after downloading one or two book titels after a new computer authorisaton the download of a next new book does not work anymore. Digital Editions is crashing down. Only after deleting the authorisation with the extern registration editor i can start Digital Editions again. But the proplem exists again and again.. What can i do? Or is it a bug and a fix is neccesary?
Hallo, ich habe vor Jahren eine Registrierung bei Adobe Digital editions vorgenommen. Nun kenne ich die DRM leider nicht mehr, benötige also wohl eine neue. Hat jemand dazu eine Idee?
I was advised to post my issue here with my contact information. I hope that's correct and someone can help. Frank E. Spikes, ahellofaguy.1953@gmail.com or ahellofaguy.fes@gmail.com . I can't login to ADE, because I don't remember my password. I cannot change the password, because my login e-Mail address (fsandwj@centurylink.net) is no-longer valid and has not been for some time (over ten years). I tried talking to someone via chat, but was acvised they could not help. I was told I had to post here. So, I've posted here. I use ADE to transfer downloaded library books to my Nook Color. I have no issues with that process. It all still works fine from my laptop. My issues is, I need to transfer ADE to my desktop an am in a loop. I don't remember the password and can't change it because my login e-Mail address is no-longer valid. FYI: I also have a Creative Cloud account and have no issues with th
I would like to deactivate all the devices associated with my Adobe digital editions account. Disappointly I'm not able to do this from my account settings? I attempted to ask the virtual assistant for help, but when it asked what app I needed help with and I responded with "Digital Editions" or "Adobe Digital Editions" it didn't understand me and eventually kicked me off. Can I get any assistance here? This is extremely frustrating, users should have the ability to deauthorize devices themselves if there is a hard limit. The devices I need to deauthorize no longer exist, so I'm not able to turn them on and do it myself!
I am amazed at how little you care about the comunity, I saw a two year old post lifting issues that are still there... I made the error to buy an e-book that has to be used with Adobe digital editions, never again, specially when the issues that many have stated for years ago havent been fixed. It takes painfully long to scroll one page! if there is a picture in the book, the program lags...Cant see two pages at a time... Sometimes the text loses its quality and you must zoom even though it should be readable... just see for yourself....
I download the pdf version of the ebook from Internet Archive, it takes me straight to the ADE app, it says that it will load to 100% but only reaches 1% or 2% then naturally when I click on the ebook from the app library I get a white screen. Please help
I have been using ADE on a Windows OS for some time, without any recent problems. I have now downloaded the Android app and can't get it to work. The preloaded manual is useless. I can't get it to recognise the Kobo reader, even though this is visible on the Android device, nor can I get it to open a downloaded .acsm file. How is it supposed to work?
I've come across several posts of people asking about a Read Out Loud function in Digital Editions. As a Librarian, I don't have to face hurdles with reading but want to support my patrons with dyslexia as best as possible. We are already forced to promote Digital Editions because publishers are scared nobody will buy books anymore if they make eBook available DRM free. Adobe is doing rather well with accesibility issues with its other products. For example, take a look at this pro-active research: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2021/05/06/hacking-readability-for-dyslexic-readersSo WHY is Digital Editions still a horror to work with for people facing reading hurdles? Why no Read out Loud function or reading ruler? Adobe has the technology in-house.
The e-mail account originally used to authorize Adobe Digital Editions on my computer is no longer active. Is there a way to change the e-mail address and password to correspond to my current Adobe account without losing access to the ebooks I've downloaded?
I bought an ebook on the google play store and downloaded it. When I add it to my adobe digital edition library I am prompted to authorize the computer. I have selected google as the ebook vendor and entered my login details (same as the google play store) but I keep getting an error message that my detail cannot be recognised? What detail am I supposed to put in the vendor login ID and vendor password?
Why is it impossible to display two pages at once, side-by-side, when viewing a PDF in Adobe Digital Editions 4.5? Even after presumably 4.5 iterations, in the year 2019, how it is possible for such a simple feature, in a book reader no less, to be entirely absent? At least allowing the user the option to view a book or magazine in it's original format seems like a no-brainer.
Hello, It appears that a number of people are encountering E_ADEPT_NO_FULFILLMENT_RESULT when attempting to add an ACSM file to ADE from Google play. I've already tried deauthorizing/authorizing with ADE, installing/uninstalling ADE, and deleting the ADEPT regeister key and nothing has resolved this issue. Is there a fix for this bug?
I downloaded a book from a publisher, it was labelled as "pdf wit DRM. But when I tried to open it with ADE 4.5 I got the following message: E_ACT_NOT_READY. Has anyone a good idea? Many thanks
I uninstalled ADE V4.5 due to e books from library not opening. I installed ADE V3 but on my attempt to "Authorize Your Computer", my Adobe ID isn't being accepted. I have confirmed that my password is correct. Pleas help!
Hi All,I just got a Nook Glowlight witht he sole purpose of reading library books from the Libby app. I got the nook in the mail last night and set it up. Last night, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 was able to recognize and authorize my nook, and I dragged and dropped a library book to the nook, where it appeared but I was unable to open it, getting an error message of "loan token update failed". I reset my nook and connected it to my adobe account (it was not connected to the adobe account before and I figured that was the problem) and now Adobe Digital Editions is not registering my nook at all. The nook is recognized by my Mac. When I try to go into the nook folder, there is not one that says anything about adobe digital editions (other forum responses have said to delete that from the nook folder and try again, but I cannot do this). I have unplugged and replugged in multiple times both before and after opening Adobe, I have deauthorized and reauthorized my computer in Adobe multiple t
I'm having an issue reading library books on my Nook Glowlight 3. I bought the Nook last year and have had ADE 4.5.10 the whole time. I've read tons of library books and haven't had any issues. All of a sudden I am unable to open the epub files on my nook because they are saying they're returned. I can open the files in ADE on my computer and in the Libby Library app so I know they haven't been returned accidentally. The only information I can find on this error is from 2015 so I'm hesitant to download an earlier version of ADE since the 4.5 version has been working for over a year without any problems. The issue is occuring for ebooks I've had on hold and ebooks I've borrowed immediately (I've tested a few). Anyone have some newer information on how to deal with this error? Or contact information for Adobe DE? I tried calling the regular Adobe Customer Service number and they had no idea what DE even is. -_-
Downloaded ADE 4.5.2 and it wont open. Any suggestions
Hi,I am trying to copy an epub from my Android phone to my reader (Sony PRS-T2) using a SD-Card.When I put the SD-Card in my reader the epub shows up, but when I try to open it it says the file is DRM-protected.- My reader is activated using the same Adobe-ID as I used on my phone.- I downloaded an ACSM-file from my public library and used the Adobe Digital Editions App to get the epub.- I can read the ebook on my phone.- I can transfer epub-files from my computer (Win) to the reader (drag&drop, even without using ADE) and open and read them on the reader.- I will be traveling with only my phone and my reader, so using my computer won't be an option. What is the problem here? Is there a special way to sync the sd-Card with the reader or do I need to put the file into a particular folder on the sd-card or do I need to copy additional files? Help is much appreciated!
Hi! We are in the midst of a college library pilot of a large number of books in ADE. There are a number of immediate program limitations that I have encountered. The system is set up so that a patron can take a book out for a 24 hour or 7 day loan period. There are unilmiited numbers of simultaneous users. The files have a limit on the copy and print portions. The issues i have encountered thus far:Sloppy / wasteful file storage and duplication: Every time a copy is checked out, even it is the same book, a new "urllink.acsm" file is created in the downloads directory, and when that file is clicked (why doesn't the Adobe Digital Reader automatically scan for new ones by the way when it opens?) a new copy of BOOKNAME.pdf is created in the Documents/Digital Editions directiory. Even in the first week that I have been experimenting with the system, for example, I have six duplicate files in the "Digital Editions" directory. All the older ones are just exp
Hi,My Adobe Digital Edition is both authorised on my computer and on my ebook reader (kobo). I am on Windows 10 and had to reinstall ADE since I upgraded recently. When I rent a book from a digital library, it sends me an .acsm file that I was normally opening with ADE.. Now everything is set like before and when I open an .acsm file, nothing happens and the menu items are greyed-out and the book never show up. If I start ADe and just try to look what books are on my reader, it's fine but when I try to open an .acsm things gett ugly. I thought maybe I need to reauthorise my computer, so did the process again, but still had the same issue. I reinstalled ADE, made the authorisation but still have the same issue. At this poins, I have looked online several hours but couldn't find a solution to my problem so I am asking on this forum. Maybe it's a compatibility issue with Windows 10, but right now I'm out of option.
bought a ebook from the Google Store, when I wouwnload the .acsm file to open it with Adobe Digital Edition this window popos up and the book won't open.
I downloaded a book from my library and transferred it to my laptop. Using adobe digital editions, I added the book to my Nook. When I try to open the book on my nook I get the following: "Error Dialog This book has been returned. Loan not on record". I deleted the book from my Nook and added it again. Same result. I downloaded from the library again, Same error message. Please help!
