How can I transfer data from form to my file in PHP?

I'm running the CS6 version of Dreamweaver on a windows 7 PC. I've created a new template for a site. I added editbable reagions and saved the file in the templates folder as a dwt file. When I create a new page based upon this template, it does not create as expected. It's as if I created the file based upon the template and then detached it from the template. It does not lock code, does not have editable regions and does not update when I update the template. If I try to reattach the file to the template, it puts the entire page within the editable region of the template. I end up with the page within the page. I can then delete the inner page that is within the editable region and I now have what I expected.Can someone help me understand why this function is not working? Do I need to reinstall DW,  reset it to out of the box defaults, or something different.  

I can't see content of my CSS files at all.  Anyone familiar with this?   [Edited by moderator for clarity.]  

I'm using Dreamweaver (CS5). I have a table within a table. The outer table has no height specified. I use it to define the width overall width of an editable area. The inner table has 1 row and 2 cells. In each cell is a small image (25x25 px) and some text. The default height does not give me what I want so I went into the code and set the height. It works best when I put the height in the <table> description:<table width="500" height="60" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="10" class="default_font">Here I set the height to "60" and it looks perfect in the design view. But when I display the page using Firefox the height of the cells is large with more space top and bottom of the image/text. I can increase the "60" to a larger number and it increase in the display. So it looks there is a minimum height but that has way too much empty space. I've also tried moving the "height="60" to the <tr> line, but then it looks worse in the design vi

While working in Dreamweaver I continually get a message at the top of the screen "Not Responding" -- after a few seconds it responds and I can work, then it happens again. This causes the tempo of my work to be interrupted over and over, it is annoying.Is there any fix? The only articles I see about this in a search are from 2012. 

I have been using Dreamweaver for many years. I'm cerainly not new to creating tables in html.   Yet, there are times, when I have a table with many cells that contain columns and rows, I am not able to stretch the colum to a certain size due to other columns and rows. Why is that?   I can only guess it's because I have nested the table within a table, or another cell's width within the table prevents me from doing so.   Should I stop using the curser to shape the tables cell columns and rely on the html code itself? Would that solve the ssue?   I would like to hear back from others on this issue.

maybe I have no clue what i am doing but apparently styles.css and styles.scss cannot exist together in a folder. When I make the scss file - both files are then erased to blank.

   I tried merging css and html i write codes in both but they were not displaying in the live view nothing was changing. After saving divs in the css and modifing them nothing was happening in the live view.  

How can I make a basic web site.... So how can I make a 'Roll-Over' so when I click 'Work' it changes colour to a 'Sky Blue' then moves to a different page.         

Hello, I built a MUSE webpage and exported it as an HTML page so that I could publish the page via Dreamweaver. There seems to be an issue with the coding after doing so as it does not render correctly (it is essentially a blank page). Is there an embedded MUSE code that blocks Dreamweaver from publishing the page to our hosting agency (Godaddy)? Is there a way to fix this so I am able to publish this correctly without recreating this webpage in Dreamweaver? Thank you.

Hi there, For some reason, when I'm in code view in Dreamweaver, there is a lag when I try to type or highlight etc. I have noticed this for a while but it seems to be getting worse. I don't think it is my RAM as I have restarted and only have DW open and it still happens. Does anyone know if this is a bug or anything I can do to resolve this? I only have my editor open along with the files panel without any properties windows. Thanks!

With the latest update to DW 20.2 we're now required to log in every time we open the software.This is totally unacceptable. What is the point of owning desktop software if you have to log in every time? I know Adobe is trying to prevent piracy, but at what cost to valid users? 

I created an interactive HTML5 canvas document in Adobe Animate.  When I place the .oam file into Dreamweaver it looks great on a smartphone screen but does not fill the screen when viewed on a desktop screen.  Increasing the height and width dimensions in Dreamweaver does not seem to icrease the size on desktop viewing.  I have to admit I have not mastered media queries yet. I am not sure if that is where the solution will be.  Are there any suggestions to have the .oam file fill on a desktop screen and be centered?  Using Adobe Muse I could just drag the corners of the imported .oam and it seemed to work beautifully but I have abandoned Muse for a different problem. Thank you for considering.

I created a site in Dreamweaver and defined a testing server. I also configured that files should automatically be pushed to this testing server. The description in the server settings tab says that the transfer will be done on saving of my documents. But this does not work. When I press F12 for the browser preview, the files are copied, but not on saving. This means I always have to close the browser and press F12 again. I use the "static browser preview", if this is relevant. And I don't mean a live preview, I know that I have to press F5 in the browser. The problem is that the new files are not copied.

I reverted back to DW 19.2.1 in part because I hate the new fuschia logo. It runs MUCH better as well. Any chance the next version will return to the green logo?

Well I have a PHP project that on My localhost displayes the same result than the dinamic preview in Dreamweaver. But it's different than the one on the Device Preview. I am running a Wamp Server. I don't know why, but when I press F12 it is not showing the correct result. This problem is only happening on my PC. On my laptop it's working fine everywhere, dynamic preview, device preview and ont my localhost. Well my obvious question is, how to resolve this problem, to return to normal my F12 showing the same result as my localhost.

Thanks for your help on this. I've built a cell with text in it, and then later decided I wanted to add cell spacing so the text would be indented a bit from the side. I can't find any feature in the program that allows me to ADD cell spacing. When I looked at the html and tried to add cellspacing="10" inside the <td> code, nothing happens. Am I using the wrong code? Is there a place to edit and change an existing cell? Thank you so much. In addition to changing DW 2020's icon to magenta in the CC Manager app, the newest update seems to have broken DW. It's creating extra code, misplacing part of existing copy and refusing to update the design screen and to save. I still work faster with DW CS6, much better coding interface in my view (please make code highlighting an option), too bad Catalina will be rolled out in my company's machines soon and will make it unavailable. Adobe, please fix DW, no one can depend on broken software.

Hi all, Why does my Dreamweaver CC intallation not work correctly with MacOS operating system? I cannot make use of multiple desktops or maximize screen space by using the full screen feature. Is there a setting in Dreamweaver which I am missing? Regards, Jake.

I have created a site where i am asking the user to register with their Fname / Sname / Email / Mobile Can anyone explain how i can recall indivdual profile up into my site when a user sign's in. right now no matter which user sign's in.. it seems only to recall the data for user id 1 in my database. Hope this makes sense. Thank you all....Deepak 

I just reverted to DW 19.2.1 and am trying to make the vertical toolbar align horizontally under the menu like in the older versions. I have dragged and dropped on the horizontal area but can seem to make it work. Is there another way?

I am having trouble with Extract.    When I click on Windows and then Exract, I get a blank page.  No icon to load the .psd file..  Thanks for the help.   Herb
