Stop Alerting for Marketing Notifications

The CreativeCloud Desktop App shows a red badge indicating that I have notifications in the CC Menu. But really, these messages rarely require my attention as they seem to be mostly marketing Adobe Live events, font releases, etc.

When I see the red dot in my menu bar, I think that my apps need updating. I'm becoming desensitized to this because, more times than not, the notifications are announcements instead of needed updates.

It's not that I don't find the list of announcements valuable - I just feel that they inappropriately use the notification alerts. As a paying customer, I don't understand why I'm being encouraged to look at marketing material.

This issue has been open for over a year now, and if anything is getting worse (I believe that disabling notifications in the Creative Cloud desktop app did work initially, but now, as noted by others, these spam notifications appear even if notifications are disabled).

This issue also has a large number of votes (73 when checked just now), so please, Adobe, do something to address it.

Of course the attached screenshot does not show the red badge, as that disappears when the notifications pane is opened, but it was there this morning.

I have notifications UNCHECKED and I am still receiving them.

As far as I can tell, these are not system notifications. I'm on a Mac, and such notifications would appear in the sidebar which you can call up in various different ways.

These are notifications which appear on the Adobe Cloud icon in the menubar, and don't seem to be controllable. They notify the need for app updates (even though I have 'auto update' enabled) but they also alert to all this spam.

There's no way to turn them off, or it's broken.

I have turned off all notifications for Adobe CC and yet these spam notifications keep coming.

Add the option to filter / turn off each of the different notification categories.

I literally pay a premium on a lot of platforms to not be advertised to. Each year, I pay Adobe more than twice what I pay those platforms combined. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This is clearly bothering a lot of people. I don't understand why such decisions are being made. I want this feature to work correctly and I don't want notifications to be disabled just for my account. It's really a shame that users have to ask Adobe to not use operating system notifications for marketing and spam.

Adding my name to this list - it's unacceptable that Adobe has failed to address this issue over MONTHS. Do the Adobe engineers have ANY update on this?

STOP!!!! STOP!!!! STOP!!!! This is the most annoying thing ever. I have tried disabling so many of the 'Show Notifications' in preferences and I am still be spammed with ridiculous spam advertising. Now, I won't be notified when one of the apps I'm subscribing to is updated so I will have to remember to check. Stop wasting our valuable time Adobe. NO ONE wants this!

not only is this whole spamming tactic obscene (nobody here wants it and we're already paying for your software) but its also a broken feature itself. I got ELEVEN identical spam notifications within minutes of each other.

for me its not just a matter of getting it fixed, its the months of silence on the matter, and the fact that adobe felt it was a good idea to do this in the first place. is there no one in this faceless corporation who can even take ownership for their terrible ideas?
