Adobe Widely Missing the Mark for Pickleball Images

As a pickleball player and president of a large pickleball club, I have searched Adobe Stock for pickleball images for flyers and the club website. The selection I have found is atrocious. Particularly bad when you consider how many millions of pickleball players there are in the US and how fast this sport is growing.

For one thing, all the balls shown are indoor balls, which have fewer and larger holes then the outdoor version, which is in far greater use. There are literally no outdoor walls picture that I could find. The other problem I had was that the AI generated content for both balls and paddles was often erroneous. It showed people playing with all manner of strange rackets as well as balls that appear to be alien in origin. Adobe can do better!

I submitted this input through a chat agent and had to fight like hell just to get and to agree to pass the input along off the food chain. Now I have gotten what appears to be an automated message explaining that my ticket is about to be closed. Yet, I have never had anyone reply to my input or contact me about it. This is terrible customer service and it indicates to me that Adobe has no one at the wheel when it comes to this kind of customer input. Sad. It is an opportunity missed by a very wide margin.

If anyone at Adobe is interested, I have examples that I can pass along. See the attached exam, ples.

"Third: Generative AI pictures are probably all full of potential errors, as the generator has probably no idea about the differences between different racket/ball games with a net. It's the contributor who needs to be knowledgeable about the subject and sort out what doesn't fit."

So true. I tried some pickleball AI a few months ago but had the sense to look into what pickleball paddles, balls, and courts looked like in photographs. AI results never came close. I mean, not ever. I do the same vetting for rare or endangered animals, foods I've never even tried, etc. Always contrast and compare to actual photographs.

Thanks for the remarks. I have several suggestions and some background information for you:

First: you have found the correct place to report the issues.

Second: as most likely none of us is a pickleball specialist, we have no idea what is wrong with the assets you are showing (except if there is a generative AI asset with geometry errors…).  You could help out here to explain picture per picture what is wrong, so that Adobe can check that and take the asset out. Use the inline picture functionality, however, that will be faster and better:

Third: Generative AI pictures are most likely all full of potential errors, as the generator has probably no idea about the differences between different racket/ball games with a net. It's the contributor who needs to be knowledgeable about the subject and sort out what doesn't fit.

Fourth: Moderators checking the assets have no idea about the game, except if they are personally interested, so they check assets like they would check badminton, tennis or similar. They'll accept anything they think that is technically acceptable, and with generative AI, there are many erroneous assets slipping through.

Fifth: Adobe uses contributors (like me) to fill the database. As I do know nothing about this sport (I even didn't know that it exists, sorry for that), I don't contribute those themes. If you wish to help out, you are welcome to do so. Underrepresented niches are rare, so that may be a good opportunity.
