How about the search function actually works!

I have a preview image with the number 12345678. I now need to purchase the image. I type in 1234 because I am lazy like the rest of you... Sorry, Image can't be found. But if I type the whole string it works. WHY?

The complaint we normally see is that the search results are too broad. A search for redhead can call up red squirrels. I suppose when it comes to asset numbers, the entire number if required. If not, 1234 could bring up thousands of results in addition to the one being searched for.

but isn't that Microsoft style mentality? I search "dog" and there is no result because the word is "dogs". Why can't the search do partial number? surely there are only a few results?

Because there's no such asset number?
