How can I permanently disable AI-generated images showing up in my searches?

I've noticed very poor quality AI-generated images showing up in my Adobe Stock searches. The only way to filter these out is to manually select a box "Exclude AI-generated Imagery" every single time I do a search. If I begin a new search it defaults back every single time to include AI-imagery.

I cannot use AI-generated imagery in my work as a designer. I am against the concept of it, and it's decimating the creative industries. Also, the images are horrible quality and not professional.

I need a way to permanently disable AI-imagery showing up in my searches. Adobe, can you please add this as a function to my account?

I also hope more creatives speak up about this in the comments below. I am considering leaving Adobe as a customer if they continue to push poor quality AI-generated content on their site.

Did you Upvote this idea? The more votes it gets, the better chance that it will be implemented - theoretically anyway...

I have come to the conclusion that Adobe is ignoring these requests because they invested quite a lot of money in gen AI and they must have metrics to show their investors to justify this investment. Same as Google, Microsoft, all the other huge companies. Notice how their AI product buttons are getting more and more invasive? Like they are literally forcing us to use them? It's because AI is still incredibly unpopular among consumers, which is a problem when you invested huge amounts of capital with promises of great returns.

Always remember, desperate people will do desperate things. If a company's site is covered in pop-ups and screaming banner ads, usually that means business isn't meeting expectations. If there was a permanent sticky option then probably their AI use metrics would plummet, and that would look bad. Profits and investors over customers.

We've been through this. 🙂 No, you can not permanently exclude AI from searches. People have been requesting a "sticky" feature for some time, but that as yet has not been implemented.

I would also love to be able to permanently disable AI search results, mostly so I don't have to see abominations like this anymore. Like honestly, how can you charge for this?

@Roy2585604510rv ,

I'm not sure who the buyer of generative AI is, but it seems to be a good business. The issue, however, are the multiple scrap assets that are in the database and should never have passed the moderation.

@rodrigob49755234 ,

The script looks pretty good. I did not try it out yet, but it seems to be safe.

This is amazing! Thank you.
Its stupid that the community has to clean up after Adobe polluting their own service. I am so grateful that you did 🙂

Whilst this isn't fixed, I made an extension for Chrome to hide Gen AI content from Adobe Stock permanently.

It works by manually adding a filter if it detects that you are on Adobe Stocks website. It's a pretty "dumb" extension, but it works for now.

You can install it for free from here https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/adobe-stock-ai-remover/mnffogghgphkbchlaobpokaoaphpmgej

If you prefer to run the extension locally and verify the code, you can see all the instructions here https://sites.google.com/view/rodscripts#h.tryg8nuifvjc

You make a really good point. However, I think if they start losing customers due to quality issues and bad customer journey they might. Sure variety is good, but it´s not about quantitiy of images, it´s about quality. If this will not be ensured and we need to play image detective I´ll switch.

Coming back here AGAIN because this hasn't been addressed by Adobe. I still cannot filter out AI-generated images, and there are thousands of poor quality AI images on Adobe's site that are not labeled as AI. There are hundreds of posts like mine, urging Adobe to address this problem. Graphic Designers do not want to use AI-generated poor quality images in their work!
