Adobe Firefly Image Naming

I noticed that if the prompt is short when you generate an image, it will append a series of numbers at the end. However, this number gets cut off if the prompt is too long. Is there a way you guys could make it either put the full prompt and number without cutting it off, or a truncated filename with the number? File management gets combersome when you have files with (1), (2), etc at the end .

Thanks!

Good day dear Adobe devs.

Firefly uses the entire prompt with the file names, which makes it a disaster when I want to dowbload the images. When using Firefly on my mobile browser, I have to go to file Explorer for each downloaded image to rename them and go back to Firefly again and and tap on download icon and so on. This process makes it very difficult and time consuming.

When I write a short promt, such as "cartoon red ballon" I can easily download the images, as it numbers each image after the promt. But lf u write a detailed prompt, it can't number the end of the file name and cuts the name from max character limit, which makes all 4 images the same names.

It would be best if firefly is updated to only random number the file names (only the numbers) or limit the promt name length before numbering, just like midjourney or chatgpt does.

Hi @havva_3250,

Thanks for your suggestion. This is not only a problem on mobile devices.  An easy solution would be for Adobe to take the unique number which is currently at the end of the filename and put it at the beginning, after "Firefly␣".

My best,

Hello @JedidiahBreeze,

This is a great suggestion!  What you observed can lead to further problems if you move files to another area and download another where you now have more than one file with the "(2)" ending.

It would be great if they changed the name format to: "Firefly ###### prompt-text.jpg".

Thanks,
