Why is the menu with style, composition, reference etc empty?

I have a creative suite subscription and still the toolbox on the left is completely empty. No choices can be made for style, reference, etc

Thank you for your message. 

Are you using a pen or stylus rather than a mouse? I have seen this problem with pens/styluses. You should be able to use a two finger swipe on a track pad to scroll it up and down. If that does not work, can you please create a screen recording and tell us what OS and browser you are using along with their version numbers?
