Add save to disk functionality to the Copy Frame to Clipboard button

The Copy Frame to Clipboard button is a really good addition, and being able to paste to disk is a great improvement.

I’d like to suggest that it could be improved further by adding modifiers to the button, adding extra functionality.

For example, Alt+Shift+Click could open a file browser, allowing the user to choose the save location and amend the filename if needed.

Alt+Click could directly save the current frame to the last used location. If no previous location was found it would bring up the file browser to set a location as above. It would be useful if the last used file path was shown in a tooltip on hover, as well as the modifiers and their uses.

An unmodified click would continue to work as-is.

The benefit of this would be reducing friction and repetitive tasks when exporting frames for use in decks/presentations etc, freeing up artist time and helping to keep the flow. Adding these features as modifiers to an existing button mean it would not add to the amount of UI buttons, and be a good quality of life upgrade for users that need to export stills.

Currently I use Conigs’ FX Console script on a KBar button to achieve similar functionality, and that is already quite a big timesaver when working on a lot of styleframes for example.

Alt-click feels so intuitive that I’m now finding myself actually trying it occasionally in the app and forgetting its still just a !wish for the time being. Great FR!

Thanks Mike, this is a nice, well-thought-through suggestion. Upvoted on my end. More votes and community input on this would help it stand out, so worth encouraging others who'd use it to chime in.

    Thanks for writing it up.
