AI powered stabilizer

Hi all,

I feel like this would be a great use of generative fill. Currently, warp stabilizer crops an image to stabilize it. Imagine if instead generative fill was used to fill in the edges. I feel like the technology is basically there, from what was demonstrated at Max last year. As a documentarian, where often conditions aren't great, this would be a game changer. (as would be using AI to remove low-light noise.)

What do you all think?

Cheers,

Pete

Hi @Peter233588315svd,

Thanks for making this request! I've moved it over to the Ideas section for (non-Beta) After Effects. We try to keep the Beta forums focused on features that are currently available in the public Beta version.

Using generative fill for this case is a great request, as is better noise removal for low-light conditions. Currently, you could use the existing Content-Aware Fill for Video with cropped, stabilized video to intelligently fill in the missing edges, though it would potentially create a better result if updated to use some of the latest advances in generative AI.

Thanks again for making this request,
