Auto-save a project even if you save it manually

It would be great to have an autosave option that works regardless of whether we've manually saved the project or not. I have autosave configured to run every 20 minutes, but I tend to save my project manually very frequently (every 5–10 minutes), so no autosave copies are generated.

Sometimes I find that I need to recover something I deleted an hour ago, but I don't have any autosaved version available.

I think you described a very good use case for File > Increment and Save.

Yes, that,s an interesting feature but is something you do manually. What I like about autosave is precisely that it saves automatically, like a backup, and that you can choose how many save states you want to keep and how often they're created. You don't have to worry about pressing a four-key shortcut every few minutes.

The keyboard shortcut can be remapped.

Perhaps automatic increment and save could make a good feature request.
