Control timeline properties from the effects panel - Effects panel to Properties panel

Camera layers, Lights, Sound, these layers will never have effects applied to them, why would we display an empty effects panel and waste AE screen real-estate, while it could be the perfect place to control the properties for these layers?

Think about other properties like shape layers for example and how easy it would be to just control their properties in the effect/properties panel!

It's sad to see so many good ideas with plenty of votes not receive even the slightest acknowledgment from Adobe, much less be under review. Adobe, you do realize how few of these requests, other than outright bug reports, you deign to consider?

Very nicely thought out and presented. Cannot overstate how useful and necessary something like this is.

And yet… posted 9 months ago, 4th most popular suggestion on the whole site, and not a peep from Adobe. Kind of says it all.

It looks great how Sander shows in the video. Right now, the only way to work (a little bit) efficiently is the search function of the timeline. The idea by Sander to have the search function also in this new effect/properties panel is also great!
