Create easy access to the n last used effects

I actually have an FFX Manager Script - retains the last 150 FFX used and spread out into 3, Recently Used Dynamic Folders in the Script UI. 

It’s also got 196 Custom Folders and possibly, the capacity for 1 billion FFX - so says my Vibe Calculator - give or take a few zeroes. 

What’s cool is you can add notes to individual FFXs, copy-paste FFXs, and Export/Import the entire library for a seamless experience on any machine. Only issue with FFXs is with version compatibility which unfortunately, makes them less robust and lessens their value. On the bright side, they’re forward-compatible - just not backward compatible even when the FFX itself has no structural issue - it’s some awkward architectural issue.

TeamAE will do well to make it easy to update versioning of FFXs. 

The motivation for this script is to complement the Quick Apply feature in AE - recently introduced. Having a library of FFXs that is easy to manage, update, apply and import/export is good for world peace. From experience, having better organized FFXs leads to increased productivity and quality of output. 

 

This sounds kind of like the reason for Effects Presets though isn’t it?

And there is a keyboard shortcut for Apply Last Used Animation Preset: Cmd+Opt+Shift+F (MAC)
Theres also the Quick Apply menu, Cmd+Return
