Hi y'all!

Try "HEVC (H.262)" encoding format and "Hardware encoding" as well.
Now eGPU works at least at 35-45%

Also make sure you tick both checkboxes "Prefer External GPU" in AE and ME (Get info).

macOS Catalina 10.15.4
Razer Core X Chroma: Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB
After Effects 17.0.5.
Media Encoder 14.0.4

This should be a maximum level requirement - I'm doing video tutorials and keying and skin grading are mission critical. I have a razor X eGPU apparently idling!

hello adobe, Please help with this support. I would love to utilise my new egpu. Ever since I was a little boy I always wished to have a proper graphics card to edit cool videos on to.... however I only now realise that egpu is not supported 😞 I am very sad and I am very hopeful that you will do the needful for after effects. Please please please fix this. its 2020.

upvote- especially when c4d lite is included and even in conjunction with use of 3d modeling as a compositing tool, After Effects does fall behind in playback scrub and rendering in real time and using the media encoder. Having an Egpu is a huge investment and the fact that premiere supports it but not after effects isn't great guys. Please support EGPU in your next update.

It's a graphics application. It's intensive. It needs to have eGPU support
