Feature request: full range RAW file import from Lightroom
I've been doing timelapse work from Lightroom to After Effects (using LRTimelapse) for years. I've been doing my own crazy HDR merge workflow for years as well. Now that we have high dynamic range support in Lightroom, I was disappointed to see that it doesn't go into After Effects - with every setting I've tried, it shows up as an SDR file with primary colors mapped on the >100 IRE sections. So instead of bright highlights, I get bright yellow solid blobs, etc.
I don't know if this is more of an After Effects thing or a Lightroom thing, but work together folks!
Anybody know of a solution for this? Or can Adobe support their own file formats consistently across their own applications, please?
I can eventually get there by exporting 32 bit TIFFs, and then converting those to EXR for drive space/speed concerns, but it is super slow and takes up ungodly amounts of drive space with I'm working with 32 bit 45MP stills.
