[Feature Request] - Toggle Transparency grid between white, black, grid

A simple feature that would make life easier in AE - when clicking the transparency grid option, allow me to toggle between black, white, and grid. I'm sometimes working with a white or black element and need a different bg for more contrast.

That's great! Thank you for the swift reply. That definitely helps. The ability to toggle between light, medium and dark from the workspace by clicking (or alt clicking?) the transparency button would be the only thing I would add.

Hello Zesty!

We are so pleased to be able to tell you that the ability to change transparency grid colors was released in After Effects 25.2. This is controlled in Preferences > Grids and Guides, but we not only have Light/Medium/Dark, we also have the ability to change the size,or make both the grid colors to be custom RGB values.

Personally I prefer a grid with only a few values of brightness difference but you can set it to whatever you'd like!
