Idea: Add Support for 3-dimensional properties in Essential Graphics

Hello!

Currently, when you try to add a property with 3 dimensions (i.e. the position or orientation of a 3D layer) to the Essential Graphics panel After Effects returns a "Property Type Not Supported" error. This is not a huge limitation, as you can make scalar properties like sliders on the layer and link each slider to a component of the vector property. However, this requires 3 rows in the EG panel rather than the slicker 3-dimensional vector interface we're used to.

Thank you for considering this request!

This would be great!  I'm currently regularly using the sliders linked with expressions work-around, but it is cumbersome.

I agree with this. It would really speed up a lot of my work.

yes, please! I deal with this all the time for 3D Anchor Point, Position, Orientation, and Scale.

Also, humble request to allow these inside EGP:

  • "Grouping Alignment" for Text Layers
  • "Line Spacing" in Text Animator properties
  • "Blur" in Text Animator properties

Would love for this functionality to be added to avoid the extra clicks and controls we have to add currently.

+1. Creating expression controls isn't the end of the world, but it creates an extra step and likely isn't a very intuitive solve for many users.
