Import Motion Graphics Templates, ideally from Libraries, into AE

It would be great if we could import mogrt files, ideally from libraries, into AE.

 

I'm working on a large collection of projects that requires me to have different "Presets" that I may import into each video to then use. Currently I have these all saved as AE projects, but it would be great if I could have them in my Libraries panel for easy importing, and since libraries already supports mogrt files, I think a good easy solution would be to support importing these into AE.

 

We can already open mogrts in AE, so this doesn't seem like it's out of the range of feasibility.

 

Alternatively, adding comps or projects to Libraries would be great, but this feels like it would be more complicated.

    Just came to add that it's beyond ridiculous that you can't import a mogrt from the library panel into After Effects. Yes it's great that I can publish mogrts for the editors on my team to use in Premiere. But what about the motion designers and people working in AE?

    For them, I have to:

    1. manually export the mogrt files to my local drive
    2. share those files using a different cloud service
    3. have my AE guys download/sync the files
    4. have them import the files using AE Viewer (a third party add-on)

      That creates three copies of the same data and completely nullifies the point of having the mogrts in a shared Creative Cloud library! You need to fix this Adobe. It's a massive pain and the need for the functionality is crystal clear. I know for a fact that it wouldn't be hard to add. So please get your development team onto this. People have been asking for this for years now.

        Thank you for this idea @Alfie Dawes! This is definitely something that would be AWESOME! 

        Your Feature Request is in the backlog and hopefully, we can get some critical mass on this idea one day. Modular and reusable comps would be a dream for many users.
