Improve PSD importer by allowing user to select multiple specific layers to import

The current PSD (or any layered file) importer only allows importing the entire document, or selecting a single layer from the document to import. For those of us that work with regularly updated PSDs that have many new layers added, this can be very cumbersome. My suggestion is to modify the PSD import function with the ability to check off boxes for layers to import, allowing the user to import a specific set of layers in one step.

Interesting idea. For now, you can import a PSD file as a composition, which imports all the layers and then delete unwanted layers

Yes, I am aware of that, which is why I mentioned it in my original post. However, on many projects I work on, groups of layers can be added to the PSD document I am already working on, so the method you describe is slow and cumbersome, and starts making the project sloppy unless the animator is diligent about cleaning up. All of it adds time that we don’t usually have. My described solution would be fairly minimal to implement and would be a great time saver for animators.
