Keyboard shortcut to Toggle Transparency Grid

I was wondering how there isn't a keyboard shortcut in AE to toggle the transparency grid. I still have to use the mouse to turn it on and off and was wondering if that ability could ever be added.

It's just one simple shortcut keys. But after 4 and a Half Years.
Still not happening. or been busy with generative fill and 3D Pipelines.

Hey,
it looks like Adobe won't do anything about it, but still there is a way to do it.
In scripts folder you can put some custom scripts, and make your own shortcut to them.
If you name an external script in example  "a001_Togle_Transparency_Grid.jsxbin"  you will have it as first script in menu.
Now, in shortcut editor, make a custom shortcut to commands called:   run script # 1
or in After Effects shortcut file, write something like this:
"ExecuteScriptMenuItem1" = "(Alt+T)"

Script to toggle transparency you can find here:

Cheers
