Lock Workspace

I want to lock panels x-size.. Because I need all the time fixing panel width when close second viewer for example… it is one of most time eating and repeating thing I ever do in AE… And solution is so simple. Lock everything with exception of project panel (sometimes need to see more from filename for example) and viewers (I am switching betwee two and one very ofter and when have two Both are setted to fit to.. so I change proportionaly their size by divider between them.. 
But when I close one, my whole layout is gone and I need to set all again, or use refresh of workspace, which is really slow, not solution for me..

@andrew.hoeveler It won't, because the issue of projects overriding your workspace was never a huge problem. The issue is that inadvertently hitting a keyboard shortcut can destroy your workspace, and the interface for managing workspaces in AE (not to mention the laughably clunky way the workspace files are actually stored) is garbage.

Testing to see if this new feature solves this old issue...

Sadly, these are the frustrations we have to deal with using software that's based on 30 year old code.

Don't hold your breath. They implied it's difficult to do because of how the software is designed and it's related to Premiere, or something like that.

Dear Adobe, it's now OVER a year later and nothing has changed with this bug. Is this ever going to be addressed?!

Part of my daily workflow is resizing plugins panel to its original position every time after I open and close New Comp Viewer or Effects window.

I wonder if this issue will ever be fixed?

Yes, I'm aware that we can save our workspaces, but that still doesn't help resolve the issue I showed in my screen captures I posted above. Saving workspaces and then reverting back to the saved workspace is just another repetitive task, just as moving my panels back to where they were is repetitive. I'm looking for Adobe to stop moving all the panel borders around everytime a single thing moves.
