Option to always disable Cinema4D install by default

Hi,

 

Despite the welcome addition of user choice to install Cinema4D alongside AE or not I keep getting frustrated by the fact that this gets asked every time you click the Update button.

 

I'm running AE Beta next to the main release which gets frequent updates. Every time I need to turn that off to prevent a cinema install which I'm already managing myself with a normal Cinema license.

 

It would be great to give us the option to always ignore this install request completely.

    Hi @Shebbe,

    This should be fixed by the 6.6 version of the Creative Cloud app—please let us know if you continue to see this behavior after updating. If you've unchecked "Install Cinema4D" when installing AE or AE (Beta), the checkbox to install Cinema4D should remain disabled for any following update to that version.

      Thanks. We'll follow up with the CCD team to figure out why that is happening and get it fixed.

        Thanks for your reply. I fully understand that if there is a major update which would also require a newer version of Cinema it could be prompted again, but on my current machine, Cinema4D is already installed (one version behind current I believe) and the Beta After Effects has frequent updates. On all cases that I've clicked update I've been prompted again on this.

          Is it happening every time, or just a couple of times lately? We've done some updates to the C4D components which might be triggering the update, but normally CCD should remember you've said no in the past and not be prompting you. If it's not doing that, then we have a bug to look into.
