Please consider adding native HTML5 export to After Effects

Dear Adobe team,

I’d like to bring up a suggestion that I believe has been overlooked for quite some time. As a regular user of Adobe After Effects, I find it increasingly limiting that there is no built-in option to export animations directly to HTML5 formats—such as JavaScript canvas, SVG animations, or other web-friendly code.

I understand that some of this is partially possible through the Bodymovin (Lottie) plugin, but it comes with significant limitations and cannot handle more complex compositions or effects. Adobe Animate is technically the designated tool for HTML5 animation, but let’s be honest—it feels outdated, clunky, and simply isn’t up to the standards required for serious motion design work today.

After Effects has immense creative power, and the ability to natively export animations to HTML5 would make its output much more accessible for modern web integration—without relying on video formats or inefficient workarounds. I truly believe this feature would be a huge asset for animators, web developers, and the wider UX/UI community alike.

    Get excited and keep your eyes peeled, because your request will soon be fulfilled by a new script that will be launched and available on aescripts + aeplugins (aescripts.com) very soon.

    „AE Banner Bridge „will be the first script for Adobe After Effects that automatically converts your compositions into ready-to-use HTML5 banners ( the exported folder structure contains complete HTML/CSS/JS/and image files) – without the user having to write a single line of code. This script makes After Effects literally a WYSIWYG editor for web animation, including presets for complex DOM text animations and even interactive hover effects and click tags. Native After Effects masks, track mattes blending modes and basic effects such as drop shadows, blur and linear gradients are also supported. So motion designers can produce all video and web formats for an entire campaign without leaving AE, and still ship ad-server-ready creatives. Since Adobe Animate is in  and Google Web Designer is a nightmare for many motion designers, the AE Banner Bridge script can offer these users a real alternative.
