Please release After Effects for Windows on ARM!

I upgraded my laptop 4 months ago thinking I could do all my school work in photoshop and after effects, only learn I can't even install after effects on the copilot laptops!

I feel like it's been a while since the snapdragon processor has been released, it's used by microsoft, acer, asus, lenovo and more. After effects should be download-able by now

I've also been waiting. I purchased a Surface Pro 11 after reading that Adobe would be releasing most of the apps I use, on ARM, in 2024. I'm disappointed that we only have Photoshop and Lightroom CC (I prefer classic) running natively in 2025. Just as we never got Nikon RAW support in Premiere Pro, my hopes are low that we will get all apps in 2025.

I also felt disappointed when I got my Asus Proart pz13, and find out that I cannot use aftereffects, I have to swap using with a intel pc when I need to use Ae. I’ve tried to use arm version Davinci resolve, but still cannot pick it up...

@JohnColombo17100380 is there a new timeline for the beta release of arm AE?

Hi @dancole_ and @UnexpectedCreativeStudios,
Thank you both for your request for After Effects support on Windows ARM devices. I've grouped both of these together and updated the title so that others can also find and add their requests.

Thanks again,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team

I really love my Snapdragon x machine but I still need my macbook or desktop to work on many programs, like AE. I was wondering if there is an estimated date, even a rumored one, for AE (even beta) on ARM. Thanks!

Unless Windows on ARM takes off the answer is probably never. It's as plain as that. Otherwise I'm sure we'll see some trimmed down version of Adobe video apps on iOS and Android, but mostly based on funneling semi-automated features and AI for simple edits and influencer videos.

We need native support for After Effects WOS (Windows on Snapdragon)/CoPilot/ARM Devices .

Windows is currently transitioning into more and more ARM64 hardware, and we need support for creative apps such as After Effects. I know many professionals who would like to be able to do some light After Effects work on the go, like editing .mogrt templates and are unable to because there's currently no native support for Windows on ARM.

I agree with the fact that it is indeed a need and something it would be good to have. I could also guarantee you that if a professional buys a machine it WILL buy one that supports everything he needs from the get go. If you have actual work to do, you can't pray that a multibillion dollar company will make the software you need just for a small percentage of people. Still, I own a snapdragon device and a macbook and I would love to do everything on the snapdragon, I'm in love with the hardware. I hope AE will come soon so I can ditch the macbook entirely.
